The Easiest Leather Bag To Make
In this Leather Crafting Project I decided to freestyle my way through makingg a leather bag that used no real traditional leather tools - no stitching, no rivets, nothing. You can drill out the holes with a drill, you can fold leather however you'd like or make your own wet mold, and chicago screws are simply installed with a flathead!
I'm really excited about what this means for the future of my own design, and I can't wait to see what you do with this style of design as well. Happy leather crafting!

For some reason I really like the look of those leather washers on the inside. Just the tiniest subtlest little thing.

Super classy! I recently tried to make something similar.... well my 4 year loves it so not a complete waste. Will have to get a wet mold and try this.

There is a French company called Pom Poms that makes the cutest bag straps that will just clip onto that lovely bag. I’m so thankful that I found your channel. I am binge-watching your videos and dreaming of making wonderful leather things!

They just added one! Andrea at A Leather Store now carries a selection of Buckleguy stuff - not all of it, but the more folks support EU distro the more she'll carry :)

I've always been interested in how to add lining to different gausset types, and I think it would be quite an educational video if you make one, because I can't seem to find detailed information on this topic

The best locktite for small screws i used it the blue loctite that comes in a stick like lipstick. The blue is removable but if you use red loctite you will need to use a lot of heat to break it loose.

@@mikecleek3964 Do you get any corrosion on the screw from the elmers glue? I find that it can cause spotting or a bit of rust on my chisels if i get elmers on them.

When punching holes in wet molded items, it'd be best to remove the punch pointing out of the front of the rotary punch. That way the item isn't marred up by the compression from the next punch.

Could you add a welt between the center seam to add thickness so the Chicago screws would be tight?

I see what you are doing, very nice! What sandpaper did you use? I grew up in my parents cabinet business, so did you use the same grit of paper that you would use in finishing something in wood?
@chemclimber
@chemclimber 6 ай бұрын
In other videos I'm sure he's used 220 grit. You'll see other makers go crazy high to get a mirror finish but ultimately just go for the look you like! 😁

OLD Leather Smith here, I use a tool by heritage that installs Chicago screws tite so you don't have 2, use lock tite. There's 2 out there the one I use locks down so you can use 2 hands on the project. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
