Honestly, I really do despise these tanks for continuing the trend of heavy, fast, high alpha, hull down tanks. When a tank has almost NO weak points head on, it just drains the fun from the game, especially as HE are useless.

5 or 6 years ago, a T10 Tank with 260 turret armor and 220 frontal hull armor was a good tank, now a T7 tank have that. Power creep goes up and funn goes down.

Why does this have more hp at tier 7 than a tier 8 ISU-152??

yesterday i had a fight in kv2 against the tier 7 smv. dude was on 600hp and coming me at frontally. then he came to face hug me. appearantly kv2 is tall enough to see his roof plate of turret and so i took his 600hp with overmatching that roof plate.

I think the Vipera doesn't have an outrageous win ratio because it completely falls down against tier 9 and 10s firing HEAT at it. The turret top weakspot can be quite frustrating aswell and finally the gun absolutely sucks for any engagement exceeding the distance of 300 meters.

You should give the bassotto a try, fully upgraded, this is a super sneaky beast

While I agree with the fact that there tanks could be end up being the most boring tanks to play inside the game, I still wait for the information, when will the long planned rework for this map comes out live. I remember around 1 year ago there was 3 potiential leaks, but it never came.

I don't think you know the playerbase if you think that super easy to play powerful vehicles will be unpopular with statistically good players. Wins matter more than fun for stat padders

I can see now that there is no balance in the tanks now. As you can see the TD of American tanks is a very less upgrade. Imagine other countries TD has automatic reloading but in the US has long reloading. I hope that their will be a new update that the TD of US will be upgrade the reloading time and armor

@10:46, I feel bluffing here is important. Your opponents would unlikely know you had 2 rounds in the mag and needed to reload earlier than expected. Players under pressure are not going to think clearly so the bluff is valid. That you have more to lose to show you are reloading. Also you are exposing only your best armour in this situation. They empty their mag and now you can cross safely with your max burst damage ready. Even if they pen you from that cover, its better than taking lower plate shots. That is in part to how mirror fights work with this tank, I would imagine the victor will be the player who has the most side or lower plate shots (if life is equalised). (frontally, you have a 13% chance upper plate and a chance at skimming the 0% sized cupola to score any no HE damage or until you catch the side of the tank (either the frontal side transition plates (upper hull) that is angled 45° or the full side, assuming you have gold and 212 pen). Otherwise scoring damage is hard to impossible)

I like my Italian tier 5 td. Its not great, but its not bad too. Its a bit like the stug. Dont have much free XP yet (got the is3a for free XP) and want to train my crew at the low tiers. I think of will go to the tier 7 asap and then train the crews.

lower plate is not big weakpoint in this tier. 160+mm while most tier 7 tanks have roughly 170 pen

even the tier 6 bassotto is a great tank, the armour isn't really there though you will bounce tier 5 mediums however it has very nice alpha damage and great camo.

This is not the first time you compare the Minotaurs 45 gun traverse range to the FV 4005. FV was buffed to 90 some time ago (years even).

Back on the days as i recall only t34-1 has that turret armor at t7 poor aim and not good hull but somehow its quite OP because its an MT and can sidescrape.

Bingo - training the crews for the tech tree tanks in the Vipera. So I'm running at 42.5% win rate, because WoT penalizes you with absolutely abhorrent RNG if you have less than a 105% crew.

I was looking at the WR of the TDs and noticed that the tiers 5-7 seemed rather balanced based on WR, I haven't played WoT in awhile so I'm unsure how OP those tiers are.

Italian TD line are made for spam premium ammo: you vs enemy and enemy vs you.

These Italian TD's just foster a camping mentality that further erodes the use of LT's. I find myself playing a lot more tier 5 and down than 6-10

For a FTP player like me, the grind on this tank is hard, I hope it gets better when I FINALLY upgrade it all.

i think that rn the winrate can be only near 50 due there being most of the time equal italian tds in both teams. so as of 5 italian tds win in one battle, 5 other italian tds lose in that same battle thus overall showing us 50% winrate. give it a few months when the mm will be less filled with them and you will have matches where italian tds are matched against other tds and we prob will see increase in winrates.

I uninstalled a week ago.... it is shockingly ... liberating. I don't have premium, so I don't feel forced to log on, I am un-utter ably tired of the consistent making of new tech trees with zero modules that carry over to the next tier, I am tired of 80% crews on stock tanks (as teammates and for myself), I am *tired* of feeling that I *need* to pay to play, let alone pay2win. I can just watch replays and say "yep, that looked awful" and not have it have any effect on my life, as I am not going to have to log in to "play" a game that has an awful power creep/research drain system that makes me more frustrated than happy when I spend time "playing" it.

The outlines are a new optional feature that will show that player which parts of the opposing tanks are still behind cover.

Yet unsuprising the winrate goes above 50 from t9. Where the armor can work every game. T7 and t8 are godlike when good matchup, yet become hp snacks against higher tier.

For anyone who's completed the tech tree already, would you consider the Tier 7, 8 or 9 blatantly OP? I'm close to unlocking the Tier 7 but I don't really feel like playing broken tanks, even if it would improve my decidedly average stats.

I am playing this game from time to time, and I never follow thoughts of youtube players. For me the best tanks are heavies. I struggle with lights and mediums for example - T-34. No idea why but this is me! Thanks quicky however for doing this review.

I wonder how much of those win %'s are due to Italian TD's facing off against each other. How many battles have we seen with a Minotauro on each team or a CC Mk on each side, etc. Someone's gotta lose lol

The difference is that vipera has to face tier IX and X, where the armor is not as effective anymore.

I wish they would have made the roof armor weak on all of the italian Tds not just the viperia so they actually would have a weak spot (to higher caliber guns) and also be more vulnerable to artillery compared to some heavies. These things are the absolute worst thing to fight against in WoT, but especially when I'm just trying to enjoy my Japanese heavies and the tank is so tall that you can't penetrate Italian TDs' lower glacis and premium rounds are too low pen to even bother using against them while their clip potentional is so high they can one clip me in my Type 5 if they high roll a little bit. It just sucks shooting a premium AP round at a minotauros lower glacis, it bouncing, and then I get one clipped by HEAT ammo straight through my turret and I cant manipulate my armor like a maus because of the Type 5's profile

I am still grinding to get this tank and the tier 6 Bassotto or whatever it's called I just absolutely hate that tank compared to tier 5 Semovente M41 🙄

TD should first and formost be defense snipibg weapons that dont need armor cause they are sneaky far away and deadly. When you have a TD that rushes first ino the battle and nobody can take care of it if becomes an issue. I go a bit oldschool now maybe but for me there are 2 types of TD: the nashorn type of TD (and all similar types with open top and only bulletbroof armor). Quite big, no armor but nice long range shooting and gun habdling. The 2nd type is the stug 3/4 type. Small, compact, a bit on the fast side, skirmishers that have a bit more armor and trade accuracy for mobility and positioning. Anything like turtles, t95 or the italians are too one sided for me with no real trade off if on position

Vipera There is a very good explanation why the Vipera has a very average win rate In almost all the battles I have fought in the Vipera, I have been matched up against Viperas on the other team If the matchmaker does This consequently then since there Will be viperas on both sides.. the win/loss ratio would be close to 50%

I hated that tier vii. Maybe it's because I only had 1 match where I wasn't facing tier ixs, but I thought it was awful.

Gameplay didnt catch me. 20 APCR + 6 AP vs T6+T7 that where a lot of the time stock or just didnt know, that are playing against an autoloader. He does one shot and they keep pushing him despite being oneshot and he still has 2 shots left. This just shows how ridiculous this tanks are compared to the old tanks. Look at the VK3002D. Even with APCR he is never going to penetrate from the front and it isnt mobile enough to outflank a TD with a turret.

Wtf i dont know what easy with this tank. They move like HT,running in 30, got a gun like of a tier6, below the t7 standard, until you use premium, eats spg shells like breakfast, and easily run around in circles by fast tanks. At least MM doesnt let you join a T9 battles.

WG needs the time and money of Italian players. But these new tanks will be nerfed in the future, after the Italian market is more active in the player base.

I don’t like playing that tier 7 Italian TD (so haven’t bothered with its higher tier siblings). Gun handling is meh and all round a bit sluggish with poor traverse. Maybe because my preference is that play agile mediums with snappy gun handling I find this thing boring

RNG without random, premium ammo as a credit drain and a matchmaker for premium.

I have seen two kinds of bad Vipera players, who might be responsible for the underperformance, when it comes to winrates: one of them clearly didn't check the stats and reviews of the tank and plays it as a backline TD, the other puts all his trust in the stats and becomes overconfident.

To Me the biggest imbalance is someone shooting gold at others you can’t afford it and add the fact of using food that’s the biggest imbalance by far! I played this tank, I can’t ever afford gold and yet I constantly had to play against meta premium viii all firing full gold penning my anywhere they wanted. Also so easy to be flanked and chain tracked. The first three tds were so extremely boring I can’t bring myself to continue so I will wait for blueprints and free Xp to finish the line.

It's interesting how many top tier players say they are amazing but the majority of other players are unimpressed with them. Other than the tier 10 the rest are far from broken
