Great introduction! I never used grid-template-areas so far, but I will give it a try. By the way, I don't think it is a good idea to give header and footer a fixed height. When we are on smaller screens, the header text might need more lines and hence more space. So better use auto here or fit-content. Do you agree?

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad to hear you'll try it out. Absolutely, I agree about not setting a fixed height on elements like the header and footer. I was more focused on showing how the grid works here with fixed units and fr, so I didn't want to go too much into that. 🙂
