@@rivroyerr what helped me was holding my eye open and blinking. bcuz my biggest thing was i’d “blink” when i got close and then panic bcuz i blinked. so i always did like two three blinks jus holding my eyes open so i could see that even if i blinked my eye that i was holding open stayed open. once i did that i knew that even if i got nervous as long as the finger with the contact was steady i was good. it really does help. i’ve only been wearing contacts since thursday and have gotten really good at putting them in and taking them out bcuz of this method. you technically never touch ur eye but that doesn’t help the feeling lol. i had to practice touching my eye with jus my finger. i start all the way in the corner and moved closer to where’s contact will go but staying on the white. i never got like really comfortable with it but i got good enough to put contact on. also i’ve notice if i don’t have a lot of solution on my finger with the contact it goes in with less problem like sticks to finger less but it won’t like fall off my finger. also once you get comfy when you put it on the white you can feel a gap bcuz that part of the eye isn’t as cone shaped as where the contact wants to be so you really really aren’t touching ur eye

i finally did mine yesterday, it totally didn’t take 2 hours. My doctor was telling me to make sure to put it on right where the colored part of my eye is, which didn’t help at all with blinking reflexes because i could see it going onto my eye. But i didn’t listen to her and i looked far to the side, then put it on the white part and then closed my eye slowly which then it suctioned right on my colored part.

I don't usually comment on videos just for the heck of it, but I'll make an exception here to say THANK YOU! I got contacts and had managed to put them in a few times, but it took me anywhere from 20 minutes to a few hours to get it right. With this strategy, it took me less than 10 for both and I will keep doing this for the foreseeable future

for me i practiced first putting eyeliner in my waterline until it didn't bother me as much. Then i would practice just touching my eye without flinching until i felt like i could put something in it without twitching. start small and practice!

I think you need to put moisture drops in your eye because they are attracted to moisture so make sure your finger is also dry

Honestly I feel sad that so many people struggle wearing contacts coz they try to wear them while looking in the mirror..I am thankful to my first opthalmologist who taught me the easiest technique..you just need to put the contact lens on the tip of your index finger (ensuring its convex) and just look straight at it without blinking your eye (don't move your eyes, fix your vision at the lens) and bring it closer to your eye ball surface (cornea)..once the lens is too close to the eyeball surface it automatically sticks to your eye at the right position...following this for many years and it is super easy!

This video saved me!!! I basically gave up putting them on this is the only method that worked for me! If u keep blinking just keep doing it until u can touch ur eye with ur finger once u blink less it should work

I eventually was able to put it in this way however it still took me some time. I had to learn not to blink too much and that took me a while! Honestly speaking it took me 4 weeks to put my contacts in. Last week was when I finally successfully put them in. A week out it still takes me about 20-30 min on the left and about 5-10 min on the right since when I first started I mainly practiced with my right eye. I found that a lot of videos make it look so easy to put them in but it does take time. Don’t quit! I did have a motivating factor- I’m getting married soon and didn’t want to wear my glasses. I do wish I started practicing sooner, I assumed it would be easy and fast as so many videos try to make you believe and for some people it is. But for anyone like me out there, you can do it! Just keep practicing :)

I know your comment is old but I put the contact right on the color part of my eye, roll my eye ball around and close my eye. Sounds complicated and I was hesitant bout lenses but it's working for me so far on my first week with them
