In this video, by changing the structure of the coil in the rotor of a DC motor, we turn it into a low-speed generator, and this generator can be used as a battery charger in small wind power plants.
And of course if you use a bigger DC motor you get more power.
This method is very cheap and simple and you don't need to buy expensive generators anymore.
Also, with this method, you can design and build it at any RPM you need

Thanks for the explanation and showing us that clever modification. One thing I would like to see is the electrical resistance of the coils before and after. Something always desired is that it be as low as possible to reduce inefficiencies. When the resistance is high the torque needed to rotate the shaft is higher to maintain a given power output. In the case that it is used as an electrical generator it would imply larger blades. Your video has suggested me to transform this stator into a three phase stator with neodymium magnets in the external rotor. Good luck

The output power of this DC generator does not change at all, all we have done is increase the voltage with a slow rotation If you use arc shaped neodymium magnet from N42 to N50, the power of the generator will be very high. Thank you for your good comment

Sir very nice informative videos ☺️ Sir I have one confusion about coil winding. Original motor winding has two stars and two ends coil exactly 180 degree of armature point. But your rewinding of motor coil has one start point and continue winding with different stacks to end winding. Can you please tell me which is right way to wind a coil?

Thank you for your nice comment In the video, I have explained that in the machine method, we have to have two points of connection But in the manual method there is no need for two connection points and in fact both methods are the same If you want, watch the video carefully

Can you explain why it is that your multimeter reads are all in the negative. And, I take it that it doesn't matter if you turn/run the stator in a clockwise direction or a counterclockwise direction. Is That correct? Also, when you were winding the stator, was that one continues wind for the whole stator?

Thank you for your comment Because the current is DC, if we change the poles, the negative becomes positive, and this is not so important, and the important thing is the amount of voltage or current that is shown. As for rotation, it doesn't matter which direction it rotates, only the positive pole becomes negative To twist the wire, we continue the same method for the entire commutator until we reach the starting point

@@robinhooper7702take a DC motor, test it's voltage when it's going around 300 rpm (depends on how fast your wind turbine will spin is an average wind) take that voltage and multiply it till it's around 15 volts. So if the original was 3 volts multiply 3×5 to get 15. Next unwind one of the coils and count how many turns and record where the coil was and what comutator clips it's connected to. If the original coil had 10 turns to achieve 3 volts you need 5 times the turns to achieve 5 times the original voltage so original was 10 turns to make 3 volts so you need 50 turns to make 15 volts. These numbers change but the math stays the same. 1 find your wind turbines rpms 2 find your motors voltage at that rpm 3 multiply that voltage till it averages 14-16 volts 4 unwind the motor and count the turns that made the original voltage 5 multiply the number of turns to achieve the wanted voltage 6 do it to it This works with ac motors as well
