Truly saddened to hear of the loss of this young man. His banjo picking is amazing. Hope he's together with all the islanders of PEI and NS putting on one hell of a show. My dad will be right there watching.

Geez, this video is the first time I've heard of him, and I'm amazed and astounded, my heart sings, and....then i read the first comment reporting that he is gone, and now I'm heartbroken.

6 Hearts will be playing at the New Orleans Jazzfest on Thursday, May 4 at 12:35 - 1:35 at the Cultural Exchange Pavillion and then again on the Fai-Do-Do Stage at 4:15 to 5:35 pm. I saw the East Pointers back the last time they were at Jazzfest and they blew me away. This will be just as good if not way better. If you're at the Fairgrounds on May 4, DON"T MISS THESE FOLKS!! 6 Hearts are members of the East Pointer and Vishten combining musical geniuses for what I'm sure will be a tribute to Koady Chaisson and members of Vishten who have passed away since the Pandemic. God Bless Them! RIP Koady This is more than a band; it's a life affirming spirit!

Saw them at the January 2018 Auckland Folk Festival, bought their CD's and played them almost non-stop while touring NZ for the next 4 weeks. They are now permanently in my car CD player back in the UK. I dabble playing Celtic music but no way can I keep up with these experts.

I have a feeling that since Celtic and bluegrass music are related I'm happy to see that you've taken the banjo and mandolin and made them your own so to speak

Just saw them at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Next to Noam Pikelney they were the best act there. Great compositions, solid playing. Such a riot!

Don't think I ever heard anyone pick a banjo like that...not for more than a few notes at least. What a genius idea! Makes for a unique sound, for sure.
@billsdubious3 жыл бұрын
Trollificus 4-string tenor, thats how they do it with a flatpick. Totally different approach than 5-string. Yeah Kody’s top shelf.
@Trollificusv23 жыл бұрын
@@billsdubious Thanks, clearly different than fingerpicked or clawhammer.

it's an irish tenor banjo, 4 stringed and tuned the same as a violin (GDAE) but ofcourse an octave lower than the violin.
