Personally, I don't think we (Saffers) care for the Champions cup. It's just another competition that our teams have to part take. This will change with more participation and when the European team start sending their best teams here. Once we have success there, like the URC, then there will be more excitement for the comp.

My guy...We in SA have only really recently wrapped our heads around the URC. We Don't give a damn about the Champs cup yet. That is SARU dragging us in there. Jake Said that they don't have the player depth yet. we can't compete with the squads of those other European teams. Just look at the number of caps that was on Leinsters bench vs the number of caps on the Bulls side. At one stage the Bulls lost 22 contracted players a season. I'm a Bulls fan and I couldn't even name people on the tam. The boks in your squad also must have a 5 or 8 week uninterrupted break, required by SARU. Joh Dobson, Stormers Coach, said the same thing, the thought of rotating one of your first choice players out seemed absurd, Dobson said that if he was told to bench Evan Roos in a game he would have sleepless nights. But now this season they are figuring out the player rotation for URC and Champions cup. So its a hell of a juggling act. Jake has signed a lot of the youngsters till 2027 so we can keep some continuity and depth. I suspect the bulls are going to make the Champs cup semi or even final next year.

The french teams has LOADS.of money so they have enough players to send best teams everywhere. They're basically all international team!!.They have 3 times the budget of the bulls!!
