It’s so sad to see how he was on peak performance, set to become one of the best keepers but after the champions league game he deteriorated and never got to old performance levels. Just hard to see how the mental side of stuff can mess with someone so much. I hope he’s happy, I really do. It doesn’t matter to be the best or whatever, we all make mistakes.

And just because you have a slight concussion, you won't forget how to do simple goalie stuff + he could've swallowed his ego and asked for a substitution if it was that bad. Furthermore, there are countless examples of players that suffered from a concussion and still finished the game on a world-class level.

He didn’t even look at Benzema so that depth perception argument doesn’t make any sense. 2. If you want to act smart, you should know that Karius said that his vision was limited. SO he was actually AWARE that something was wrong, and he didn’t ask for a substitution. 3. I believe he made that up anyway, just to find an excuse just like you. 4. As I pointed out, he did this kind of stuff throughout his career. Imagine finding excuses for this joke of the goalie.

They cause all manner of visual and perceptual problems, distortions, etc. Yes, he made other mistakes in his career, but he also helped them reach the Champion's League Finals. What have you done? Sat back and said "oh, he's shite." Right, mate. And then you admit he knew something was wrong. Athletes try to play through injuries, that's just what they do. So, are you saying he didn't have visual problems? Or he did, but he's horrible because he tried to play through it? So we're all just finding excuses, eh? If these are the worst howlers of his career, then tbh he's not too bad! Every keeper makes weird mistakes at some point! The Champions League Final performance was, partially at least, due to having concussion (which modern VAR would have picked up on)... So actually not that bad! Compare this to the mistakes Lloris and De Gea seem to make week in week out whilst starting for 'top teams', and I think Karius has been unfairly judged!

Idk what is more annoying, his mistakes or his reactions to it. I mean... everybody makes mistakes, the most important thing is to learn from it and not to repeat it. And in his position it's inevitable that you'll make mistakes or you'll let a ball come through. I don't know a goalie that has never ever had a ball to come through. And on top of everything it's only a match, an entertaining event. Not a surgery. But when he becomes hysterical about it or crying, it makes me forget all what I said before and it makes me think that it is actually way bigger of a deal than it actually is. Ugh, Karius, get your shit together, dude, okay?

Alisson Becker is the best goal keeper in the world but he still has a way of making terrible mistakes. Probably a compilation of them somewhere. Still Liverpool's best player and the only really good player this season.

The point is that he was terribly overhyped in Germany when Klopp invited him to Liverpool. A hipster indulged in overconfidence. I heard his interview when he joined Union Berlin, bizarre overconfidence and verbal overcompensation. Some of his mistakes were made by the very best goal keepers ( Di Gea, Neuer, Casillas) as well, yes. But most of his mistakes were totally basic ones and incredibly stupid. So there was always more shadow than light and his career is essentially over.
