I'd love to get the Max. I design functional parts, and having a larger volume would allow me to print entire models instead of having to slice them in pieces and glue them together afterwards.

I’ve been eyeing the N3 Plus for a while, but the US orders are always out of stock 😔 I truly believe it’s the best printer on the market. I have a Sidewinder X1 that served me well but is sadly dying. Great video, looking forward to linear advance!

@@LostInTech3D I imagine that producing in smaller amounts and making sure items don't sit on shelves helps keep prices down. It also could just be that the value is insane and it's a genuine issue to keep then in stock. I orders a N3Pro on the 25th of last month and it probably won't be in until the 21st or 22nd of this month. Still better lead times than prusa

Thanks for a thorough look at these machines. Elegoo won’t send me one for review so this is the closest I will get to seeing one 😢 The electronics look great. I am concerned about the springy bed mount. I wonder, with a tall heavy print, will it be able to induce a rocking motion in the bed? Resulting in massive ringing artifacts? The CR-M4 Y stage is built like an entry level CNC machine. Super solid, surprisingly so for a creality machine. Would be great to compare these side by side

Nice upgrades. I guess YT noticed I had been looking for a new printer after my N2S gave up. And points for it not just "go buy the X1C" for 35 minutes...

The neptune 3s are really decent for the price, even down to the build quality, so I do think they represent better value than most other printers right now
@RoseKindred
@RoseKindred Жыл бұрын
@@LostInTech3D I agree. $ vs time and space. The 3 series seems like a nice improvement and time would not be a factor with 3 machines (3 max) versus 1 (X1C). Or going by the N2S deal I just saw, 10 N2Ss to 1 X1C. I'm kinda interested to see if Elegoo is going to go the same route and copy/improve from Bambu. In the past, they seem to integrate the latest features or amenities that people want into their next line of models.

I have now Ordered the Max version to replace a damn pain in the bottom Tronxy X5SA 400. that just would not level well enough to print! I tried everything to get it t work well? New black Tronxy Leveling Sensor. strong bed yellow springs, ultra flex Tronxy bed rubber cover and a titan extruder. But after fighting with the Tronxy for 2 years I given up and happen to see the new Elegoo Neptune 3 Max come out. The Tronxy I dissembled and put in it's original box as spares. I have the Neptune 3 and love it, Mine though just played up and the screen went blank. Elegoo have now sent me a new screen, power unit, Micro SD Card and just this week a new Main Board as none of the other parts solved the non-working printer. I will redo the Neptune 3 and sometime in June the new Neptune 3 max will be here s cool... Just need to clear a spare room a bit more where the other printers i got are and somehow set up a single work top big enough t fit this beast of a printer when it comes in June.

unsure if someone already mentioned it, but the Creality Sprite heating blocks might be compatible with screws as well. Also, was that heatblock brass? if so, how does it perform compared to an aluminum one?

Great… thanks for this video. Would be great if you can do a linear advance/pressure advance video for this pr8nters. I own a 3 plus but… the pattern generated with Marlin‘s website don’t work, rubbs on the build plate, with Ellis works good, but all no matter which one all looks same, in my opinion the 0 looks best 😂 would be great how you do it, thanks in advance!

Nice video. Question on the printer. At 5:39, I noticed the ribbon cable looks to make contact with the print. Did you find it interfered with first layer on prints that were long enough to make contact?

Ah, that's what the print from mandicreally is for (see description). I think it could do with raising it a bit higher, but if I span the cable round I think it would be fine.

I have Ender 3 V2 for common prints and Sidewinder X2 for large prints. Is it good upgrade to Neptune 3 Plus from Sidewinder X2? I don't like something about my X2, for example there is no function to pause and change filament during the print, bed leveling was awful and last thing is the glass bed always effects on my prints like WARP-ing even I've used enough glue or hair spray on bed.

You still have to change the thermostat to handle 300c ? If you can get Elegoo to handle 300c, then the scale tilts heavily for Elegoo against Solvo, as Elegoo has a larger bed size, it's kind of hard to make it bigger on Solvo.

How is TPU affected by all metal heatbrake? Is it bad? Is there a video about it?
@LostInTech3D
@LostInTech3D Жыл бұрын
I should make a video about it! PTFE is excellent for TPU due to the low friction. When you use metal, it is more sticky, and you often have to adjust your settings to avoid jams. In the case of this printer, I found the TPU profile jammed every time, it needs lower retraction and lower speed most likely. It's always solvable, but it can mean slower print times and potentially more stringing. PTFE hotends have their uses.

Why go for even bigger bed slingers ?? Are normal bed slinger problems not enough for you? Wanna print big? This bed will get so heavy with the print it will mess up input shaper and now it takes even more room before and behind the printer. This what we call a chicken without a head decision to bring out this printer or to review it. Come one what does this add? Its not even up to your content standards and for the printer companies Just develop a cheap fast printing large bed corexy, and ur golden
@kimmotoivanen
@kimmotoivanen Жыл бұрын
Almost everyone can afford one of these printers unlike *any* core-XY. Cheap fast large core-XY? Maybe I'll live long enough to see that (along carbon neutrality and world peace) 😁 With bedslinger one would anyway print at low speeds and accelerations, so moving bed is fine and input shaping doesn't have much, if any, effect.

@@kimmotoivanen there are tons of enders and similar printers already out there. This adds nothing, when someone buy's this they should really asked themselves the question Did they drop me as a child for me to make a stupid decision and buy this printer.
