Bridgerton family is like worlds family now, we all watch and get frustrated with them. 😂 But I don` t mind Bridgerton drama, it` s highly entertaining. Anthony & Kate are incredible couple, loved this season, loved tension, passion, flashbacks, emotions, overcoming traumas, all of that, looking forward to the next season. Apparently, Francesca was supposed to have been more of a presence in Season 2, but the actress snagged one of the leading roles in another upcoming Netflix series, so she dropped out partway through filming. Because of that, we only see her briefly a couple times or so this season. They just announced they've recast the role for Season 3, though, so it sounds like we'll probably see more of Francesca next season. Always love your reactions, and this one didn't disappoint! For me, Kate and Anthony's story wasn't overshadowed, but in the final episode it definitely shared the spotlight with Penelope and Eloise's falling out. I love the Pen and Eloise friendship and it doesn't feel right seeing them at odds. So I hope they resolve their issues at least halfway through Season 3, instead of remaining estranged until the last episode or two. But who knows? lol Colin, Colin, Colin...smh. The good thing is, though, I think he's fallen off that pedestal Penelope had him on. Being on more equal footing will help them build a better relationship. But something tells me, Colin will have to work hard to get back into Pen's good graces after what she overheard.

Agree to disagree about the overshadowing! I was obsessed with Kate and Anthony so them getting together was everything to me! Loved the pen and Eloise storyline tho.

I love how they ended Kate and Anthony’s story! Yes unfortunately since they had a lot of subplots going on during their love story I can see why people are saying they were overshadowed in their own story.

Francesca's actor was doing other projects while seasons 1&2 were filming so she was not in it as much as she could have been. The roll was recently recast so we can expect perhaps more of Francesca next season.

I finally got to see your final reaction. YAY! Many tender, emotional moments in this one, from Anthony and Violet's talk to Anthony and Gregory's moment. Loved those. There are times that Kate got on my nerves, but I'm glad she and Anthony finally found their way to each other, even if it's completely different from the book. I have never before liked Lady Featherington, but when she said, "I'm a Mother!" I cheered her, and really admired her. She may not be the most likeable character and rather devious in her dealings, but she loves her daughters! Since Julia Quinn, the author of the books, insisted that the couples NOT be changed, Eloise will not end up with Theo. The Pen/Eloise drama was a shock, since that is not how Whistledown is revealed in the books. Not sure how things will work out between them, especially with Penelope and Colin making the trip to the altar in the next season. Benedict's story was next in line in the books, but since they are skipping to Penelope and Colin, the writers will have to do some quick maneuvering to get Pen and Eloise on speaking terms again. I am not a fan of the slow burn. In the books, Kate & Anthony are forced to marry after the bee sting incident & only realize that they love each other as they get to know each other better. I didn't like having Edwina on the altar with Anthony (she doesn't fall in love with him in the books) and I felt ripped off by not having a Kate & Anthony wedding scene. I did like the addition of a love interest for Kate to make Anthony jealous. I don't mind the Penelope / Eloise drama... but the Featherington cousin storyline was just a distraction and completely unnecessary. I think in the books, Penelope secretly uses her Whistledown money to keep the family afloat with the assistance of the family lawyer. It makes her a much more feminist figure than how she appears at the moment. I hope they redeem her next season.
