The Emergence ~Symphony of The Cicadas

The emergence of the Periodical Cicadas this year is a rare occurrence! One brood usually emerges every 13 years and the other, every 17 years. This year they emerged at the same time. We were really surprised this history making event happened right here in the wooded area behind our home. I found it fascinating and wanted to share it with you. Hope you enjoyed this short little video of our experience!

Thanks Louise! And I’m not surprised at all that you get it! 🤗 It’s all so interesting to me. During the day, the sound is so constant. I know when they’re gone it’s going to feel like somethings missing for a few days….lol.

Nice Video 👁👁...Unfortunately, this parasite ,,CICADA,, is a nuisance for trees and plants 😮...They are so small that they are actually difficult to see with the naked eye ... have a good week Miss Shelli Anderson 😀🖤
