⏹People want to be great heroes and evil villains, but Cid Kagenou is not one of those characters. He longs to assume the role of the actual genius, pulling the strings and letting his schemes determine the course of the narrative. He had a prior existence in contemporary Japan, but he had failed to realize his ambitions. But now that he has been reincarnated into a magical realm, he will demonstrate the shadow's full power!
To bring down the enigmatic cult that hides in the shadows, Cid recruits members for his (false) organization Shadow Garden while posing as another typical criminal figure. Cid leads his (fictional) group in a hilarious battle with the evil (yet unexpectedly genuine) Diabolos Cult.
