What real music sounds like, folks! I’ll always cherish this decade! Great memories!

The Emotions!!! No auto-tune when they performed, singing was backed with a live band. The good ole' days I'll always cherish.

Auto tune didn’t exist back then so there’s that
@honeylove76782 жыл бұрын
@@waynedexter We were entertained by artists with voices , of course auto tune didn't exist it was created for these non singing artists of today. My father was a saxophonist with a band and you got your money's worth. Auto tune made it possible for the music of today because without it most wouldn't be in the business. So take that!
@waynedexter2 жыл бұрын
@@honeylove7678 You made a generalization, and it’s painful. I know hyperbole and exaggerated is the rule of thumb, especially in the KZfaq comment section. Folks say stuff just based how how it makes them feel and not on reality. If you want a list of current artists that don’t use auto tune just holla
@honeylove76782 жыл бұрын
You responded to a statement I made to the Emotions at the Wattstax festival whom I've seen in person, auto tune didn't exist, entertainers back in the day had voices there was no fear of going to a concert and really enjoying it. I listen to plenty of artists Will Downing, Sade, Cleo Soul etc. auto tune has made dreams a reality for some of the younger generation.

I would argue that this sounds a little flat at various points and it sounds like she's straining her voice. Some of the notes don't sound as welll-supported as the they did on the studio version. The studio version sounds much smoother

Do you really want to see white people dance? I am European-American and am one of the few who CAN dance but many of my friends have not a single rythmic bone in their bodies! If you watch many performances from the 70's note that the crowds are basically just sitting there. The Hippie flower dancing has left the building and the crowd surfing mosh pit disaster had yet to rear it's ugly head.

Jody R Most of the millions upon millions of white Latin-Americans dance. It has nothing to do with race; it's all about environment. A black girl raised by Polish farmers will not dance
@LeimertDreamer4 жыл бұрын
Chavezoid Actually, she very well may have been able to dance, even despite being raised by Polish people. There is a correlation between melanin and rhythm. This is why Black artists like Drake, Deborah Cox, and a host of others who were from White surroundings (they’re both from Canada), still tend to have talent and rhythm. This is why almost all of the popular music worldwide, even in Latin American countries, has African roots.
