Once, there was a vain emperor. He loved standing in front of his mirror for hours. One day, two weavers knocked on the palace gate. They claimed they could weave cloth with magical powers. 'It's the most beautiful fabric in the world, and... only diligent and clever people can see the fabric,' they told him. The emperor wanted a suit made of it. The weavers, who were swindlers, set up their loom. They pretended to work hard, but they were weaving... with nothing... When the costume was finished, the court ladies praised the work, so the emperor put it on. But no matter how he turned before the mirror, he only saw his bare skin. Was he now lazy and foolish? Hundreds of subjects gathered outside to see the new clothes. What will everyone think of them?
