Was gonna ask how old is this story? The storm wardens are *OLD* lore like older than the scythes of the emperor if my remembrancer (which I just found out is a real word) are correct

The storm wardens are dope I wonder when their last fluff book came out hope they get done better than the scythes and the flesh tearers did, I mean at least the black Templars had a force go rogue and massacre some of their primaris replacements in rightful protest

Man that governor really got off lightly, the Imperium literally sent him a warning as a light slap on the wrist with the ability to retain his power. It's just a shame he refused this rare moment of kindness from the Imperium.

A story where there wasn’t rivers of blood, AND had a happy and pleasant, peaceful ending??!! I’m kinda shocked!! Every story I’ve heard read or told has been that of uncelebrated victories of the slightest margins, or ending by the emperors “mercy” or forever lost in the madness of the taint from the warp… Hahaha!!! Great stuff!!

Got to say that ending was not expected. But a brilliant and life saving plan nonetheless. Giving the traitor Government a ultimatum by either giving up the other traitors or dying a horrible and painful death. A crusade ended by one shot. Absolutely love it.

It had Space Marines but not a single bolter was fired. It had an Imperial assassin but he didn’t kill anyone; and it had a heretic planetary governor who was allowed to live continue his rule over the planet as well. This is a really weird story by 40k standards.

I really love the stories involving the imperial navy, especially when the Legions/chapters, inquisition etc Vs the ruinous powers are all thrown in for good measure 😃 With the exception of open warfare this one has it all, right down to the happy ending. Good stuff indeed.
