The blood on the ground in the original is Jenova's blood. In the original game, Sephiroth never actually came to the shinra building. He manipulated Jenova's body, and Jenova broke out of it's container, shapeshifted into the likeness of Sephiroth, and started slaughtering everyone. Remember that Sephiroth can control all Jenova dna (which is also why in the original he is able to assert some control of Cloud's physical body and he almost kills aerith himself).That is why there is a trail of blood from Jenova's cell to the top of the building. It's the same in the remake. That purple glow is Jenova's own "blood". And the Sephiroth that stabs the president and Barret is still just Jenova. That's why there is the flash from Sephiroth's face to Jenova's face. That was meant to indicate that it was Jenova, not Sephiroth's physical body.

So i beat the Game and in the French version, the Ending with Zack change. Aerith, when she stop walking when Zack cross her path, say that the Sky can be so cruel at time. Don't know if it was suppose to mean that Aerith feel Zack near her and she can't see him. Wait and See i guess...

Fun fact: In Final Fantasy 6, there was an enemy called Whisper, which looked pretty much like the Whispers in FF7R (well, they had different designs but the concept was the same), and they had a variant called Darkside, which used the same sprite. yea idk

Since the beginning of the second to last chapter of FF7 Remake it was a Rollercoaster of Emotions my goodness it was all done incredibly well!!! The emotion, the action!!! Ugh Freaking Masterpiece!!!

I think the ending is more so tuning into aireth's ancient abilities, she can see memories in the land, and it was showing her that he was so close to making it back into Midgar, with cloud in tow, that while cloud made it, he never did. she's used to her safety bubble under the steel sky of Midgar and never had to venture out, that she didn't have to accept that he never made it back, that maybe he was just ignoring her or hasn't been able to contact her. He was her first love, and even though she can sense when people pass on and start moving back to the planet, I'm not sure if Zak ever made a "trip" to see her before doing so. That could be another reason why she didn't want to acknowledge it, until that moment. kitsune has already stated their not moving too far away for the core story of the original FF7 but they did want to include more BCC/CC story events to wrap up some story threads that we're left loose and make a more complete story. However, Zaks ending here could be taken in different strides as in the original it doesn't show a whole large battle unit section but a small squadrons he battles off-screen while trying to escape with cloud. It's possible their basing it off that scene rather than the ending to CC, or they could be mixing it together for a different effect later in the story.

Randomly recommended this video and its time to add another to my list of creators that love ff7 the way i do. This was such a great watch!!

My favorite line that aerith says is “I miss it. The steel sky” AND IM LITERALLY GOING TOO BREAK IT DOWN FOR YOU! I’m going to sound extremely nerdy but here I go! She says “I miss it. The steel sky” this is because midgar is full of slums (areas with slums are extremely poor an dangerous) the steel sky gives her a sense of safety from the big outside world. So her missing the steel sky suggests hat her home and safety was taken away from her.

Thanks KZfaq Algorithm for bringing me to this channel just before this playthrough, was hella fun to watch. I wouldn't call this game perfect, but it exceeded my expectations, and that ending had my head spinning for weeks in a positive way. I think I've watched like 10 full spoilercasts on the ending, and I'm not convinced anyone has figured it 100% out yet (I have my own theories too), which is part of the fun.

That was an interesting combo you had for the Sephiroth fight. I got Aerith and Barret. Which worked quite well for me because while I love Tifa, I highly valued keeping my distance in that fight, which bought me a few precious seconds between swapping characters and having Aerith blast him with the right spells to weaken him.

The ending was so satisfying to watch it just shows how stupidly powerful sephiroth is Damn!!!!

He could not have gotten there the same way as we did, and feels unlikely he was picked up by Avalanche's inside man there in a chopper. This is such a enigma... ^^

Ok, so I have a question about FF7 Remake. So the Whispers are supposed to keep fate on its intended course like preventing or causing things to happen, like saving Barret or killing Wedge, does that mean that Cloud and the others can't die unless fate allows it? And do they change that when they defeat the Whisper Harbinger and Sephiroth? Can someone help explain this?

Having a end-boss fight consisting of multiple stages is quite the FF-series' standard. When playing these games, always put your brain in "don't let your guard down until the credits roll" mode. ^_^ Then you can put down your controller/keyboard and fill yourself with pride for a great accomplishment.

Yeah the one thing nobody ever saw coming. Oh yeah by the way Zach is still alive, to those who know the whole story this changes everything. The end of Crisis Core, Zach is shot down by Shinra forces. Here he not only kills em all, he's still freaking standing. When I first saw this scene I didn't realize my jaw was on the ground after the fact. When they talked of defying destiny they weren't kidding were they. My theory is that the story will stay the same but the journey from beginning to end is going to be entirely different. Perhaps Zach's story is not over yet, he's obviously going to play a much larger role in this remake, and I'm 100% down with that. All I have to say since all these characters are getting extra special attention they better and I mean better do this with Vincent's character just saying. I think I have an idea what might be happening. The Wispers represent the original game's storyline and they're going to do whatever it takes to ensure that the original story plays out as its supposed to. Well by killing the Harbinger of fate you destroyed the Wispers, and by doing so they can no longer ensure that the original story happens and as a direct result changed past and present events and essentially breaking from the original story, now just to clarify Zack IS in fact alive because the Wispers being destroyed ment that they couldn't ensure Zack dies like he was supposed to. I also think Sephiroth is aware of this and that destiny as ordained that he won't succeed In merging with the planet and will be defeated in the final battle in the north crater. So perhaps Sephiroth is trying to prevent the events from the original game from happening, so by killing the Wispers and altering destiny you did Sephiroth a huge favor and played right into his plans congratulations. So yes Zack is definitely alive SOMEWHERE we just don't know where specifically

After they defeated the invirdi (fate) cloud got 7 seconds. So he could change the fates of his Friends so I think no one really died. But let’s wait until Part 2 this Game was the best of this year.

the scene where cloud wake up in aerith room, was supposed to be in the cell in OG; in that scene, aerith mentioned about a date with cloud and tifa was like say what, it was really funny, i dont know why they change it

Replay this on chapter select on hard mode. Barret ended up taking the place of Tifa, but what does that mean? Plus the part where Cloud floats over Midgar, and fights a FF Darkside variation. Gives me hints of the next KH4 game having some kind of collab with Yozora, FF characters being brought back and yes Tidus, Wakka, Selphie, etc too. In a super KH game to start off the KH4 game. Plus remember in the game, the fairies are responsible for changing things and cause things to return to peace. Aerith also transferred some of her powers to Marlene and that's why the whole game, water was referenced. From the water at Aerith's house during the dream where to talk to her or tifa and it pans over the water (rebirth/newed), the water droplet that Barret and Marlene talk thru, and other references.

Damn boy, he changed a lot of timelines that will according to Sephi become their world at some point. But I wonder how a second cloud is going to be explained? Or is Zack just going to jump dimensions?

I'm guessing this Sephiroth might either be a post AC Sephiroth or got those memories. Sephiroth seem really eager change the future whereas the one in the original game was certain of his victory.

the whispers were a representation of the fans expectation that the story wont change in the remake. by defeating them we removed the constraints for part two and changed the past. zack, biggs and jessie are now alive in this timeline

You’re the cutest darn thing ever. Really enjoyed this segment. I love how there are multiple timelines in FF7. By entering Sephiroths shadow realm and destroying the arbiter of fate we have changed the course of destiny which has allowed Zack and Biggs to live. It also makes future events from the original game uncertain with how they play out. My assumption for Sephiroths 7 seconds till the end line I think he is referring to a particular character death as that takes exactly 7 seconds to play out. I am curious if there will be another character able to die and you will have to decide which character to save. It is gonna be interesting to see where they go with the game and how Zack ties into the second part.

I am a bit irked that they went with purple ooze type stuff rather than the blood for the trail up to Shinra's office. All just to have a "T" rating which I very highly doubt actually matters for sales. Games like DOOM and MK are clear evidence of that. They should have just left it in the way it was.
