57:15 the reason why it broke so easily is cause of Ventus’s sacrifice. remember that Ventus’s final boss is him fighting Vanitas within his heart. Ventus won and destroyed Vanitas from the inside which caused the weapon to be destroyed on the outside.

Not quite, its specified and pretty blatantly shown in that scene that Aqua shattered the x-blade with her D-Link. What you are talking about is what shortly after you see Vanitas fade away from Ventus. And why his heart is damaged and needs time to be repaired within Sora.

@@communitygamer117 Tbh you’re wrong, The weapon may have looked complete on the outside but it was incomplete on the inside, When Ventus destroyed Vanitas on the inside that’s when The X-blade was destroyed on the outside. We even see the influence of Vanitas leaves Ventus’s body on the outside. Not only was this hinted big in BBS, but even in Melody of Memory recently confirmed that the fight between Ventus vs Vanitas happened at the same time as Aqua and Mickey vs Ventus-Vanitas. @@jpfan1989 He is. He is also talking about Ventus. Roxas gives him the look when he and Axel let Xion escape. However, Ventus is more correct because Xigbar sees Xion as Ventus.

@@lukasruston8618 Yes. Xion's body is constructed from Sora's memories. Sora's and Ventus's heart are connected, and Xigbar's strongest Memories of Ventus are Ventus being Angry at him. So Xigbar sees Xion as Ventus.

There's more to Aqua's story. If you got all the Xehanort Reports, then you unlock the Final Episode. And even after that, the Final Mix version has a Secret Episode.

Don’t forget the whole time Aqua was fighting Vanitus while he was in Ven’s body, Ven was fighting him too. When the X-Blade shattered is when Ven won in his body.

Oh !? I always thought it made more sense that Ven's fight happened during the light show after Aqua damaged the x-blade. I mean Vanitas sound legit surprised when the blade brake and that would explain why Vanitas said their union "was" not finished, key word being "was". And then, Ven finish the job when we see the x-blade disapear in the real world.

@@geoffreygoncalves931 The X-blade looks complete on the outside but on the inside it was incomplete, when Ventus defeated Vanitas and destroyed the X-blade, that’s when the X-blade in the real world was shattered.

@@rideozora9829 But then why Vanitas is shoked to see the x-blade falter in the real world if he already was getting whooped by Ventus in the Dive with an incomplete one. Further more, how would he be able to split his "mind" between Ven and Aqua, like how can he be fighting two fights at once. Seems a bit odd to me.

@@geoffreygoncalves931 The Dive to the heart battle has no concept of time as we saw with Sora vs Roxas in KH2, also the Moment the X-blade shattered on the outside it showed us that Vanitas is purged and no longer has control over Ventus’s body, that’s cause Ven already defeated him. Also look up Melody of Memory, the cutscene even tells you that Ventus was struggling against Vanitas the same time Aqua is fighting him on the outside.

@@rideozora9829 MoM came after BBS so I don't really take what it says as face value, like in Kh3 when Donald and Goofy says that Ventus lost against Vanitas when it was clearly a win or at least a no winner. Or in Hyrule Encyclopédia, where they say that Sheik is a girl or that Tetra was a disguise and not the real thing when the games clearly states or show otherwhise. I have this Policy to consider what the source material says and or show in priority over the after says from other sources. Maybe let's just agree on a disagreement. :)

"We're going for that platinum lads." -still has to use the command boards for every character -100% the mirage arena with every character -get all the commands for every character -get all abilities/shotlocks for every character -get all ice cream flavors -get all mini games. -all other stuff Can't wait for that stream where DBG just loses his sanity for doing all that 😅

What gets me is, the mods for his stream seem absolutely adamant that nobody's allowed to tell him about the Command Board or Mirage Arena under threat of putting the chat in Emote-only Mode. I don't know how he's going to react when he learns that not only has the Command Board been available this entire time, but that it's the most efficient way of leveling up abilities in the entire game. He could have had insanely powerful attacks throughout the game, if the mods had allowed him to actually know about it. It took ages for him to even learn how to meld Commands, and a big part of that was because anybody who tried to tell him got punished for "backseating". It was apparently only okay when a moderator decided to tell him, and then basically wrote him a guide to get Once More and Second Chance specifically.

@@kurtisharen truuue 👏 It's kind of sad really, & a bit infuriating. Like, we as fans of him & long time fans of KH WANT to see him experience those things there, so him react to them within each characters stories, just like we have a decade+ ago, (like "oh, I did X y & z with ventus, time to do it again with Aqua & then terra), so why limit a player/CC to only VERY specific stuff & not to everything the game has to offer? Why pick & choose what is vital/important & what isn't? At the end, he'll probably be exhausted of doing all of the content that was available within each character's chapter, be rushing to do them & may find it tedious, considering the fact he has left EVERYTHING that was available, & shoved them as post/side game content & has to do them back to back to back in succession at the end. Also, I like how some people in the yt comment section smentions some of these things, & further explains stuffs or offers to help for a better experience, but I wonder if it's actually taken into consideration or just ignored/passed off/treated as "back-seating" or the like. Like, I wanted to put in a link for command melding, so that it would help dbg in the long run, but felt like it was just gonna get treated as "back-seating".

Nonono, this isn't bad enough... you have to beat all secret bosses with all of the characters, that means (SPOILERS) you have to beat Vanitas Remnant AND Mysterious Figure as Terra... let me tell you as somebody who has actually managed to beat every superboss with every character, Terra took me 5x more attempts than Ventus and Aqua... and those other two took me over like 5 attempts EACH.

Terra is really fun to use just as much as both Ventus and Aqua. his only problem is his dodge, the developers messed up with his dodge which is why he is often hard to use against end content stuff, but he’s still really fun to use when you learn how to use him.

(SPOILERS FOR FUTURE GAMES) And people say that the whole "norting" thing wasn't a thing until DDD, Nomura literally wanted that detail to be in BBS to hint towards that whole thing. I'm honestly surprised that almost nobody questioned why his eye changed colour until later in the series.

@@lukasruston8618 (Spoilers obviously) At the time people thought yellow eyes were just a sign of darkness, so they thought being scarred by Terra using darkness made that change. And yellow eyes are a sign of someone being taken by the darkness, so they weren't wrong, only in this specific case it's the darkness from a piece of Xehanort's heart. And the "it's because Terra's attack" fan explanation doesn't really make sense or is indicated in anyway, but people took it as canon and assumed a retcon when it was revealed what it actually was.

Mirage Arena was the old multiplayer aspect of KH:BBS, which is why you see "Group" abilities.

Am I the only who see the parallel with Kairi here ? Never hit me before x) Both her and Ventus are light, with no darkness in their heart. Both lost their heart and find refuge in Sora, leaving them in a comatose state, but still able to interact with the world, somehow, like Kairi's flashback in KH1. And both end up with a nobody linked to Sora that took on their physical traits. Giving what we recently learn from the end of Chi, it made my mind race even more than before x) That's why I love this series so much, event when I'm not able to play it myself.

Spoilers for Later Games: Wow. I forgot about that line. "Just as long as you love him, then Ventus will be able to find you when he wakes. He can follow that light back to where he belongs-- the realm of light." Really makes a certain scene in a latter game hit harder because who would remember this one line, that has little relevance to the story, to the scene.

Once you're fully done with BBS, or if you're already done, I suggest watching through some of the cutscenes and reading some of the reports of the other KH games; especially 358/2 days. So many things now have new meaning. Or you could also wait until after you watch through the Union Cross cutscenes if you intend to do so. There's also a bit of story that becomes much clearer after that.

I've read that a lot but I feel terra story is more tragic, I mean he failed the exam he worked all his life for and downspiraled to lose himself to darkness, well his body. His will lingered in a God forsaken land. Aqua of course is tragic being held in the dark realm for a decade. But I think it's a worse fate when you see your body help the villain do dark deeds, and knowing you failed your friends.

@@c0mpu73rguy Yeah I really hope he doesn't or else we wont continue past BBS for like another month easily, hell I dont think even the extra bosses are all that fun or interesting or really satisfying to overcome either but god knows that'll take a couple streams at least, and not even for any fault of his own, it just takes ages to be able to do them in the first place

Every time they are in a stained glass platform, also called the dive into the heart, those platforms represent the heart. Sora fought against Roxas in his stained glass, that means the battle happened inside his hearts, and because of that Donald and goofy didn't see anything. Ven fought against vanitas in their own shared platform, as at that moment their heart were combined ,(and venitas was fighting aqua). When ven defeated vanitas, their platform (their combined heart) shattered, at that moment the x blade of venitas shattered. Those stained glasses are the hearts, remark that for the future games

I'm glad you've enjoyed the story so far! I just LOVED the expression on your face when you saw what Land of Departure turned into and you just processing it. You know I've noticed Dee throughout this entire playthrough had never bothered to meld HP boosts, don't know if he just doesn't know or refuses to use soothing crystals or something? It's minor nitpick, but just seeing his health bar not even reaching halfway across the character icon and he's at end game It's kinda baffling.

Like I find it so incredibly baffling that if two or three things gets said the mods don't like then everyone gets punished. It's only made infinitely worse with how Dee is always saying stuff like oh I promise you'll make a friend in chat here today but its like bro how can you when you cant even talk amongst each other for like well more than half the stream?? I know they're basically just doing what he asks of them but its like goddamn just time some people out if they seriously like demanding stuff, but suggestions and what not here and there shouldn't be considered backseating as much as they are.

The final Aqua Vanitas fight is interesting. It’s happening at the same time the Ventus Vanitas fight inside Vens heart. They are each a side of a whole. Ven wins the fight, causing the x blade to break. The reason why Ventus doesn’t long to be whole again like Vanitas does is that his half has already been filled with light. Soras light. It’s why Sora looks like Ven, and why Roxas looks like Him too. That’s a simple explanation though 😅

I have always wondered about Mickey (won't give spoilers) but now it makes sense with his visit to castle oblivion in chain of memories. I knew about the chamber, but didn't know the reason behind it and the whole castle creation. Ah, I can rest in peace now xD LF for the xehanorts reports!

As something for you to know: A few of the Mirage Arena fights are different depending on the character, but not many. And, one of the super bosses... changes its moveset slightly depending on who he fights. That superboss being found near the end of the Mirage Arena for you to unlock. But other than that superboss, the other superbosses are all the same regardless of which character you play as. With that in mind, do you intend to beat all the superbosses with every character for this?

The Mirage Arena Final Fight broke me. Been wanting to complete this game so i can get 100% completion with all 3 characters but i think about that fight and i lose all desire to go in again

Terra and Ven have some pretty good commands too. I wish there was a single person on KZfaq who discovered them while they were playing the game for the first time so I could see their unspoiled reaction to them. It’s still not fair to get abusive or negative just because you aren’t that person though.

@@Quinyel Um.. some of them were also Dark themed. And pretty strong tbh, one would straight up kill all enemies hit by it outside of bosses. There was also Ars Solum which does a LOT of dmg

It's pained me to see you fight Vanitas full melee without using a single spell. He's extremely Firagable and counters physical attacks, so that's literally the worst possible way to fight him.

You got a few things wrong, I noticed. Roxas was born in Twilight Town, NOT Castle Oblivion. What you thought of involving that was NOT the connection between Sora and Roxas. However, there IS a connection. You just remembered wrong is all.*shrug* Still fun to see the mind blasts you receive while theorizing though.^^

Based on the content ahead of you, and how far you're willing to go to understand the story, I think you will be able to start KH3 in less that 20 streams, maybe even less than 15 (depending on your pace). On today's stream you predicted maybe 2 more BBS streams. After BBS there is Recoded, which is formatted as a Cutscene movie like 358/2 Days. Then there is Dream Drop Distance, which I don't think is as substantial as BBS, being a 3DS title (but it will take up most of your streams up to KH3). There is 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage, which is really short, I think that will be 2 streams. Finally there is the X (Chi) series including the Mobile Game (that is no longer online) and Back Cover. Damo279 has a video roughly 7 hours long which was both edited down to be shorter, and edited with the Back Cover movie integrated in their proper cutscenes. There is a prompt during the video telling you to play KH3 (and maybe 0.2, I don't remember) before continuing, because Union X (Cross) was still dropping Story Updates *after* KH3 was released, so you don't have to watch all 7 hours before KH3. This all depends on how quickly you breeze through Dream Drop Distance. I'm not trying to spoil too much, just trying to give you a rough estimate. KH3 has a very lore important DLC called "ReMind" and after that there is Dark Road and Melody of Memories (and if you have save data for Melody of Memories for the Switch, you get a music track in Super Smash Bros Ultimate).

Imma tell you right now if he's serious about getting the plat for this and plans to do it on stream then we got like another 4 3+ hour streams minimum. I mean its downright ridiculous how much stuff you gotta do with ALL 3 characters and the amount of repeat grinding at the mirage arena, making commands, the minigames themselves that arent even the arena versions... its just so much. But yeah I have no clue how he's gonna handle all the UX stuff but it'll be left up to the mods discretion no doubt and there's no telling what avenue they'll pick for that though I would agree damo is prolly the way to go with all that, god knows sitting through every scene individually will take way longer anyways.

@@SSlash Let's not forget he has those Xehanort reports to read and process. I have a feeling he may grind for levels (and hopefully commands) off camera, either of which will cut down the time considerably. And the UX content definitely depends on his mods. They have given him KZfaq links in the past. But Dee may have to eventually download the app when Dark Road. And I know just how time consuming UX is, because I managed to 100% the Story missions on both Normal and Proud mode before it went offline (and I only spent $60 total on in-game purchases across 4 years).
