banger video dude, had no idea I could upgrade the internal hardware. Do you have any experience truncating large files for upload? Im on Starlink and with my bigger video files, if the connection drops for a couple seconds the video upload will start from scratch so trying to find a work around for that.

Why would you want to truncate your files? I assume you mean "split" as opposed to "truncate". In either case, it's not necessary. You need to perform your file transfers using a program that supports resuming. That way if your transfer gets interrupted, you can simply log in again and resume where you left off.

So if I want to be able to read videos faster from hard drive when looking for content. Do I need more memory or do I need ssd cache?

What do you mean by "read videos faster"? If you're talking about scrubbing through a video using an editor, then yes, you need faster drives. But a faster drive doesn't mean much if your bottleneck is your network.
