@@chrillex91 i did little research about the book, just little because i would prefer to know about the movie as little as possible. so, somewhat i know the general conflict of it specially for this movie. if they want for 4 hours of this quiet and slow movie, they might want to consider to have intermission or turn in to mini series (but if they want to turn this into series, they need to pick up the pace. man, slow pace really feel much more slower if you watch at home).

Just watched the movie and I gotta say the story telling and character development is off the charts. By the end of the movie you can visually see Ernest conflicted especially when trying to tell the truth to Molly. This movie and Oppenheimer are the front runners for me for movie of the year by FAR. I would’ve liked to see the alternate screenplay focusing on the story as a total western.

Molly standing up and leaving without a word after Ernest lied to her would have made a more impactful ending to the movie in my opinion. But other than that I have zero complains. Yeah, Tom White was pivotal and in the book it is very well acknowledged but really, did you want a Detective movie, seeing the board with pins and the suspects pictures with strings interconnecting them? We’ve seen that. In none of his movies where crimes are committed and solved by the law enforcement, very little is seen of it (except Departed because .. well it’s a duplicitous story). We never knew how did the FBI caught Henry Hill either. It’s a different perspective. There are no heroes in this movie. This one is not about that.

Love story? There is no love when you marry someone and then conspire to not only murder them but thier family as well. Love story😂

After 3.5hrs the conclusion of the film left me quite upset. Nevertheless I was relieved when it finally concluded. It was a decent film but not something I’d suggest to the casual movie goer. 7/10

Yeah that was the goal. Are we supposed to feel content that this story was largely untold for so long??

7 out of 10? In your opinion what’s an 8 then?

This is how Disney is killing cinema. A raw, genuine and a pretty regular movie is considered “hardcore” these days. 20 years and some ago cinema was made out of movies like this.

I didn't like the lucky strike radio broadcast (which was in the book) at all..End with the focus totally on the Osage- Molly leaving Ernest and the Pow Wow

6 ppl walked out in the movie... I was watching the watch as much as the screen. The cuts were weird... And drama moved slower than a sleeping cheetah. After 2 hrs i checked the watch and saw only 1 hr had passed.

I think bringing back intermissions for movies of certain lengths. It would help keep attention and allow a break.
