Arc 7 and 8 were intended to be a single arc before editors intervened so if you count those two as the same arc it would be the longest stretch of the story

What made this so painful is that everyone's numb to death in Re:Zero at this point since we think somehow our boy Subaru will die for us and fix things... So when something like this happens when you realize there's no way to fix it... 😢😢

Priscilla finally saying her lines from the the 3rd trial and from Tappei tweets from 2015. Now I expect all other future lines if they come true Tappei will make them hit just as hard.

Everyone was sh*t talking about arc 7 and how it was so much worse than arc 6. But put it together with arc8 and you've got amazing worldbuilding, sheer spectacle through magical, tactical and physical warfare, and beautiful character moments. If Al becomes an antagonist after this, this might be the greatest turning point in the entire Re Zero story so far

I got a faith build and a strength build for Shadow Of The Erdtree. One at the end of the game, and one pre-Malenia to check for secret dialogue. Also Arc 8 finale elevated the entire arc for me.

Damn, this chapter was fucking amazing, it was such an emotional rollercoaster. When Prisca and Subaru were walking around I found myself thinking how great she was as a character, thinking how cool would be all the interactions with her camp be, given the events in arc 7/8, only for Tappei to rip her off the story at the end leaving us completely destroyed, I was not ready ;-;

Here's something for yall to think about, if you haven't read Witchbeast Observation Side Story yet: Felt and Reinhard are at the Pleiades Watchtower and one of them might find Priscillas Book of the Dead and I think if Reinhard reads it he'll be able to completely figure out Subaru's RBD, Tappei can take this in SO many directions honestly.

Cannot wait to see how the anime adapts this arc when it catches up to the source material.

I had a rough time with arc7 and even took a break and needed to watch some recap videos and researched some sidestories to get a better understanding of what was happening. but god damn that was worth and the payoff in arc8 was just incredible absolutely great action, great antagonists, all of the new characters were super interesting and got some crazy development and the sheer amount of crazy lore drops and wtf moment that will be super endgame relevant is mindblowing. Arc8 after all of this setup is imo able to compete with arc6 for best arc of the series. The thing i loved the most was the sheer amount of wtf moments and reveals about aldebaran

I’ve decided to lvl to 250 I’m running a dex faith str build. I want to be able to get all the new weapons and at least try them out so this seemed like the best option. And since the dlc has its own lvling system it seems to be that the meta lvl of 150 is gone for this. Can’t wait

Didn't know Chibi was an ER player. I'm so hyped for the DLC. There's only 2 DLCs I know that r their own games: Witcher 3 Blood and Wine and ER: SotE.

I'm a huge souls fan and I just beat Elden Ring DLC yesterday it was amazing especially the final boss. I'm a Katana user. I use all of them, but I beat the dlc with double katana. Nagakiba and Rivers of blood.

I spent the past month slowly making a Faith build to cheese through the bosses as fast as possible to read all the new lore etc. Of course Fromsoft heavily nerf my main weapon for this - Envoy's Long Horn in the same patch... SC - Wretch Vig 60 Min 35 End 23 Str 23 Dex 22 Int 10 Fai 46 Arc 10 Weapon: Envoy's Long Horn Offhand: Finger Seal Armor: Commoner's Headband, Silver Mail, Traveling maiden gloves, Scaled Greaves. Talismans: Green Turtle, Bull-Goat's, Sacred Scorpion, Shard of Alexander. I have 46 faith because I want to use the Destined Death incantation 'cause I think it fits the narrative for the player character at least for a first play-through of the DLC. I've never made a build higher than level 100 for a FS game but I saw the previews were using 150 characters so I guess that's the intended level.

I am late to this reaction but the fact we are getting Act 5 and 6 in the next anime season my guess at about 2026 we might have season 4 of the Anime getting Act 7 and 8 if they decided to go with the high episode count and by that time Re zero either finished or almost finished in terms of web novel I remember Tappi stating about 10 to 11 Arcs to finish the story.

Tappei in Arc 9 making Al evil: But wait there is more

Priscilla is the case of destroying cliché of fully morally developed, full-fledged wise experienced character being butt-licking idealised furniture for any reader-liked character possible. Priscilla isn't only excessively strong (both combat-wise and moral-wise), intellectually wise, experienced and insanely insightful, but also prideful and honest. She heavily supports individualism and idea of necessity of constant self-improvement. If she's superior, she'll state it. If any person lacks something or has serious flaw - she'll state it. Blaming her for arrogance is akin to justifying flaws of people she criticise, which, to be honest, isn't the right way. The only somehow fitting critique to her as person is how tough and strict she is, though, in her case it's nothing than her way to push people into self-improvement. Its harsh, but not only that its working, but also its proven to be effective, because that's partly a manifestation of Volachian lifestyle, Volachian mentality. Not only that she supports people who know their place, but also she admires people that tend to choose their place by actions, by success of their ideas. Also, she doesn't really lack in softness. The first literal introduction of her personality was Subaru's attempt to get her help in arc 3. She tested him by giving an option for Subaru to lose his, Emilia's faction representative pride, harming both himself and faction. In Subaru's attempt to get through obstacles in easy way he almost made a grave mistake, he forgot that trying to save faction, he acts as Emilia's faction member, literal face of it in such crisis, and its completely unacceptable to fall into such shame, unacceptable to disgrace Emilia as candidate that much. And not only disgracing Emilia's faction, but also himself as person. Priscilla was merciful enough to not help him, not let him to do that. Just to remind her reaction. She was genuinely enraged, furious because of Subaru's decision, simply because that shit was against all her principles. Its also really sweet of her, that except of making Emilia's faction be framed and ruined by Subaru's pig greed, she placed herself in Emilia's position and made a decision - either her representative pushes his limits as person and exceeds his past self, solving problem properly, or she, candidate, just dies without seeing her lifetime ambitions and reasons to live getting demolished. Maybe Priscilla isn't softest person to interract, but she's clearly is one of the greatest and most glorious humans ReZero world have ever seen. Just like Reid , who's, despite being hard to interact with - is the greatest human humanity dealt with, the sheer ambition of whom turned old ReZero world into place hundredfold softer and more comfortable for humanity. Just don't forget, that wrapper isn't what decides person.

Some added context, basically the Arc 7 that we got wasn't planned Arc 8, however, is the original (planned) arc. The plan was that it would take place in Priscilla's Estate. But he instead made it take place in vollachia, and had an extra arc to flesh out the empire.

I think Al vs Subaru would be interesting. We know Al persists in the world left behind and says that satella swallows the world when subaru uses rbd and that his authority takes priority over it meaning that Subaru cannot exist in a world with Al dead (unless he can catch him out of the territory or disrupt it? apparently satella consuming the world doesnt disrupt it so idk?) and that Al cannot survive after Subaru dies. Basically both would be trapped like leip barielle but with no way to end it until the conditions of either of their authorities are met, I.E satella being "saved" for envy.

Seven and eight turned out very good because of all those reasons plus he knows how to play by his own world building rules. Something writers, for some reason tend to struggle with.

Shame for Subaru he's going to be blamed everything that happens because of this, the deadlock is definitely going to be the hardest fight in his life.
