@SCHTRAM by all counts the "being a dick" is just a persona. The rumor is, behind the scenes, he's actually really nice and thoughtful. Though by his own admission, in his "Classic Scrapes" book, he has done a lot of things without thinking first. He also admits he takes heckling too personally and has not always reacted very well to it in the past. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@SCHTRAM@SCHTRAM He suffers from depression and anxiety and in one of his books talks about the years following a really bad break up. I also imagine he's a fairly introverted person. Many comedians are actually this way and can be very shy, and a lot of.people assume they are louder than life and constantly want to make people laugh. I'm 5 minutes in and he hasn't said anything even remotely funny yet. He most certainly is an eigma though, as in, it's very difficult to figure out how someone becomes a comedian if they're dull and unamusing 🤔 It's almost as if the current crop of British comedians have accepted the challenge of pushing someone as a comedian who clearly isn't funny. 'If we all just keep saying he's funny then _some_ people will believe it' 🤷‍♂

Objectively not funny. The Pindrop story was awful but for some reason everyone pretended he was funny for the entire dull repetitive story - Jimmy Carr couldn't be bothered fortunately. Then there's his politics...
