The Battle of Franklin Trust is embarking on a noble and necessary project to visually represent every enslaved man, woman, and child who lived and labored at our sites in 1860. Carnton was home to 44 enslaved individuals, the Carter farm to 28, and Rippa Villa 75. For too long they have been invisible. We intend to change that.
In this video, hear from individuals who have dreamed this project into existence about what it means to them and why representation matters. Then go to boft.org/enslavedproject to learn more and to help us make this a reality.
