I cried when he announced the retirement of Madea and when he announced that she's back I said Hallelujer

I was just saying we need a family tree. It’s so many nieces, nephews, her kids, cousins, siblings, I can’t keep up 😩

There can be 45 madea movies, they will never get old and tired. Tyler knows how to make a good madea movie/play...

The only thing you guys got wrong is the actress Tyler was talking about was NOT supposed to play Madea. The actress was supposed to play another character while Madea was still going to be played by Tyler. He was only supposed to be on stage for 5 minutes total. But the actress didn't show up. So Tyler had to take the other character's lines and say them himself. So Madea ended up staying on stage longer than planned. People loved it so Tyler wrote the other character out of the show and made Madea the lead.

Madea plays helped me through some dark times when I was suffering the worst of my major depression.

Im so excited! He's employed so many people, has made us laugh, cry, and remind us of simple things. You cant hate this man and you damn sure cant hate Madea!

My family and I just watched Homecoming and of course, as big Madea fans, we loved it. I think Homecoming was ONE of his funniest in a while. I think the time off gave Tyler the build up to comeback with a whole lot of originality. With that being said, with the appearance of Ms. Brown. I was telling my family, you know, it's a shame Robin Williams took his life. A Madea and Ms. Doubtfire collab would've been comedy gold, instant classic. Sad that will never happen.

Family Reunion will always be my fav. The first 2 are the best. Also some of the plays!

I am biracial W/AA (White/African American), and I’ve always been a fan of his movies. This is because he doesn’t just have African Americans playing criminals (like most movies) but has them playing the roles of educated people such as; doctors, lawyers, etc. showing the world that African Americans aren’t just a negative stereotype like drug dealers, killers etc. He shows society that African Americans can be more in life. Very inspirational, and I LOVE that. Because im mixed I’ve been treated less than and like a criminal because my skin is olive toned. I’ve been followed in stores like Earthbound, when I turned around I let the employee know how much I make a year, and my college education. Shocked she apologized and left me alone. Some people just haven’t realized the message in his movies.

The title says “Madea Universe Explained” but what did she really explain? She basically just gave a summary of each movie lol and if you’ve seen all the movies, then it’s information you already know. What I was hoping to find out is how many siblings, kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews does Madea have because we only know of her one sibling, Joe and his son Bryan (Madea’s Nephew and lawyer). Oh and Cora is her daughter, but like how is the girl from “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” her granddaughter when they showed the girl’s mother who seemed much older than Madea and they never mentioned the girls mom being madea’s daughter, so like does/did Madea have a son at one point that has just never been mentioned which would have been the girl’s father? And in the second movie “Madea’s Family Reunion” too, how does she randomly have a niece? She’s obviously not related to the girls’ mother, so, does Joe and Madea have another brother that’s just never mentioned that was the oldest girl’s father? Because she’s obviously not Joe’s daughter. And in “Big Happy Family “ Madea has yet another niece, is this niece the sister of the first niece, or is this a child of a fourth mystery sibling of Madea and Joe? Like I have so many questions, and after a decade Tyler just keeps making more movies filled with more questions and none of them are getting answers 😅😂. Like I’m so lost whenever they introduce new relatives I don’t even care anymore. I just claim everyone in the movie as some type of kin to Madea at this point lol

I just watched this on Sunday and loved it. Regardless of the iffy parts, I needed to laugh and enjoy myself. And Tyler Perry always offers that along with love, laughter and spiritual messages that soothe the soul.

Some ideas i think tyler perry could do before he really retires madea: Madea & Joe on the run: their long lost sister Madea Boo 3 Madea has a change of heart and found GOD and has become a saved woman Madea is done: joe passes away and all the family comes together one last time for madea as she prepares herself to finally live alone.

If you were the actress that was supposed to play this part seeing somebody else walk around in your miracle would be real upsetting

TP's best Madea. It's both succinct and right at home in dialogue and story. The way the whole story unfolds. Each time I thought I had the full story ... like in minute 119 when Davi's story continues to unfold. A crossed love story to the end. TP, well done. And TP's Madea vs. BO Agnes Brown. Let's have a dress off!!?!!
