The only way the timeline makes sense is if the Osmosian Retcon is only true after the Uni-Reboot, or else practically all of UA falls apart. 2. How did Ben receive Upgrade if he wasn’t created until 2007? Mechamorphs were not created in 2007. The Malware-incident was in 2007. 3. How did the Omnitrix blow up in front of Vilgax but not destroy the universe? The first time the SDM was activated, the charge built for four days, which gave it enough time to destroy the universe. When Ben purposefully activates it, he only lets the charge build 30 seconds, which was only enough to destroy the Omnitrix itself. 4. Ben 10k is supposed to be 46, not 36, at 39:56. Having just finished rewatching the entirety of it, I came back to this video and am blown away by just how accurate, comprehensive, and well done it is. I was a fan of this show as a kid and recently rewatched the entire series from the original ben 10 to the omniverse. As a kid I didn't realize how awesome the omniverse series was. It has become my personal favourite followed by alien force.

I have no idea why did the writers go so hard on Ben 10 story, but im glad that they did because i love this, ive never heard about the story of Ben 10, and like, this is way more complicated than i thought, and should be way more complicated, but somehow, even with time travel, different realities and differenet timelines, its actually very easy to understand whats going on, true i had to pause the video at some points (like George Washington being an important figure in the story of the series, it took me a good minute to process that), but its actually really understandable, dont know if its the video, or the writers just did an amazing job

this is one of the rare occasions where a kids show actually has a long and descriptive backstory behind the reasons why everything happens

it's hard to believe was was from all the way back in 2019. Been watching nearly every video since, love the breakdowns, And Beyonds etc, been keeping up with 5YL, such a great comic. Ben 10 was one of my faveourite shows growing up, despite the little i got to see of it (few episodes on repeat on CITV when i was young, and then RaT, a handful of classic S2 episodes, and UA episode 1 i end up rewatched frequently. I'm so glad that thanks to this Amazing communtiy, and all of you at the Ink Tank, the original Prime Tennyson ain't forgotten.

My boyfriend recently got me into the 5 Years Later comic after finding and reading it - he initially got into it because Ben 10 is his favorite childhood show. After he told me about the comic, I got into it because it continues Danny Phantom's story and that was my favorite childhood show. After watching this I can understand why he sent me this video instead of explaining the storyline of Ben 10 himself 😂 But watching this does have me interested in the series myself, after I wasn't able to get into it as a kid(ironic, I know lol) I'll have to find some website or app to watch it on. 😃

The dynamic I absolutely love is Huey and Scarfy. Uncle acts so cold, but the scene under the tree, the scene at the river, the reaction to Huey’s dream. It so amazing watching him open up to his nephew!

The fact that this could have been a Netflix series but chose to make a kids cartoon which has such plot twists i am glad to have an awsome childhood because of Ben 10.

Gwen specifically I’m not sure how I’d feel about her having like an inferiority complex toward Ben but I think that would be most consistent with the original series so that’s why I said it >The whole "keep the Omnitrix a secret" thing never really bothered me that much and it obviously makes the most realistic sense seeing as him revealing himself would get a situation like in "Grounded" happen and the government would come after him and all that crazy stuff though I'm not that opposed to it being something known as long as it makes sense and it matters. If it were kept I’d just want it worked on, it’s not bad I just think it gives me a headache with how it was executed. >I feel like stripping Ben of the time limit removes some of the restrictions he had with the Omitrix as a kid. A lot of the prototype's aliens are very specific in their purpose and very flawed in nature (Stinkfly, Ripjaws) and I feel that function really mirrors that. Though I can't remember the function giving us any cool or interesting moments in the series. But it also makes teen Ben's new "energy based time limit" seem like that much more of a step up from what the prototype was. I'd also keep this in just so we get to have moments where Ben does some heroic and clever things on his own to prove that point of him being a born hero regardless of whether he has the Omnitrix or not. I can respect that, I just think it feels kind of plot armour-ish though when this happens. It’s always either Ben gets someone bad and transforms into himself just in times, or gets someone good and times out at a bad time. I think better stories can be told if he just either is able to or is not able to deal with the issue. But that’s me! I see the appeal, it can raise the stakes a lot. Make you hope Ben gets the job done before he times out, it’s not a bad idea I just think it can be simplified.
