Just got Lucille delivered and she is in a zone of her own!! Attitude with those curves that are oh so smooth.. Outstanding fit and finish with a bite!! Great new Lucy on the block!!

It doesn't sound anything like BB's. Listen to "The Thrill is Gone" by him. And learn ! He didn't play rock. He played the blues. And your guitar DOES NOT play the blues properly.

So, in theory, you could output to two different amplifiers and have one set up for clean tone and the other set up for overdrive? And then just switch back and forth between pickups to go isolated to either amp?

Once had the chance to get my hands on an Epi Lucille when I was overseas to visit my now wife. Went out on the town with her, and we stopped into a mall. Found a little guitar shop, and the single dude working there was jamming away on one. Being the guitar nerd I am, I told her we HAD to stop in and check it out, and she humored me. The Lucille was a sweet player if memory serves. I then went from it to a camo Zakk Wylde Les Paul, which is still the guitar being played in my fb profile pic. Goodtimes, goodtimes...

I've always wished they'd make this in cherry red with F-holes and split parallelogram inlays so it'd be like a proper ES-345. At the very least, I'm hoping next year's Inspired by Gibson line will include a LP Goldtop with P90s. Come on, Epiphone!

That's the same guitar I got for my son as a Christmas gift when he was ten years old. I wouldn't have gotten him such a special guitar if he had been your average child but he wasn't. He still has it although he recently had his 43rd birthday and rarely plays his other guitars.

My 2021 Epiphone Lucille came last week. I'm big on aesthetics so is it me or is the binding for the Epiphone more yellowish than the Gibson? It def not as yellow as the 2018 Epiphone version lol but it even appears to be different with the new Gibson transparent ebony version.

Hi there. I enjoy your videos and reviews. I wanted to know if you would consider the Epiphone Lucille guitar (with major mods) or even the Gibson Lucille because of the no F-holes, over the Memphis dot ES-335 guitars. YOu also did a video on the Memphis dot ES-335 and it sounded great. Thanks

I'm just a 'hack' guitar player, though I've been hacking for more than fifty years... LOL! I should purchase one of these new Lucilles, since the one I have stays almost permanently in her case. I let her out for air once in a while, rarely pick her up, and never play her. She came into my life in late 2010, and I had front row seats for Mr. King's performance in Ontario, Canada. He personally autographed her for me, on the body, not on the pickguard like most autographed Lucilles. I am sure some essence of Mr. King remains with her. A treasure I will never part with, until I join BB wherever he may be. Thank you for the video!

I wonder how many Lucille's BB had? I know he had a Red one to match Chuck Berry's Red 345 when they appeared at Madison Squares Garden and he had two White ones for special occasions like when he had a live orchestra behind him and one burst color when he did it jam session with Slash.

OK Then! I want this and don't at the same time. How's about this - an Epi 355 with Maestro in Black eh? Just in case you're not a fan of the signature model because it's a signature model.

Ah, the Gibson Lucille that the Epi Lucille is based on, is the Gibson ES-355 TD-SV , not the ES-345. ES-355 s had the big block Inlays ( up to the first fret ), while the ES-345 had "double parallelogram " inlays , starting at the 3rd fret. And there are more differences. Nobody likes a "know-it-all", I may be an an exception, because I can learn so much from people who know better than me. Best wishes from germany !

Loved the design, but so sad that it does not have f holes. I know that BB King do not like feedback and requested Gibson to omit the f holes, but the supporting resonance from the hollow body could not be projected thoroughly if you took out the features. However, this is a very good guitar if you are heavily influence by BB King but opted for affordable version of Lucille.
