In hindsight, probably should have seen this coming when instead of just letting a woman with mental capacity of a child go when the courts ordered it. Instead spent months learning the law just to lose the case because the law doesn't allow you to date a child, even if that child is over 18. My mom went temporarily missing a while back and even though I am angry at her for being abusive my first thing was to try and figure out where she was while supporting my dad who was also worried. In those moments it doesn't matter what happened. (She turned out okay, she had simply gone to their vacation home after an argument with my dad). Gariepy doesn't behave like someone normally would in these situations.

I think this is correct. But I just need to state that autism itself is not an intellectual disability. A lot of of people are mistakenly diagnosed with it because people don’t know what autism is. Autism doesn’t affect mental capacity. People most likely have co morbidities. Mentally challenged people are often mistaken for autistic because people who don’t know what autism is think they’re the same. Autism is a different brain wiring that means we don’t think like neurotypicals. We don’t read minds and pick up liars saying one thing and meaning another. We actually socialize just fine with other neurodivergent people. We don’t socialize well with neurotypicals because they make it so difficult with all the games and BS and petty gossip/bullying they love . Without all that, we are fine. We do have sensory issues and some have issues with being verbal. But again, this doesn’t affect their mental capability. It makes things more difficult to live in a neurotypical world for sure.

I honestly wonder if he is capable of love. I just think it’s because he can completely control them. Also depending on the neurodivergence we absolutely become devoted and lavish affection, something a narcissist loves.
