"Just have to remind them who's boss, that's all!" Officer McDermott took off down the hall. The one in front of him, Enio, was wearing a guard uniform, but no guard would attack another. He found it a bit embarrassing he took that long to figure out. Enio ducked into a cell, the bars covered with blankets. McDermott opened the door to find, to his suprise, a hole dug in the floor. "What the?!" But reporting the damage could wait, he needed to arrest the criminal before him. Following him down the hole, he found himself in a cramped 'room' of sorts, barely big enough to afford him some space to move. What followed was some quick close quarters combat. Enio swung his baton downwards as McDermott stepped to the right. The baton impacted the floor, kicking up some dirt. Bringing it back up, Enio then swung another time, impacting McDermott's hand as he caught the swing. McDermott followed up with a downwards swing, which Enio responsed to by dodging left. Enio brought up his baton above McDermott's head as the officer braced for the impact. He felt a light tap on his shoulder, as if someone were trying to get his attention. He looked up at Enio, who was heavily breathing. Enio had swung, but with barely any impact. Under his breath, McDermott could make out three words. "Out of stamina."

you most likely didn't cover up the hole with the dirt. medic's ai prioritizes covering up holes he dug for pathfinding purposes over everything else, meaning he won't pick up the body before covering up the hole behind him. if he covers it up then he basically trapped himself; he will be unable to dig straight up because the desk is blocking him if that isn't the case then i really don't know what is, and i really don't know how to help further, sorry. this might be mobile exclusive issue lol (also i didn't know the game is ported to mobile, the more you know)

@@Kawia nope. He was merely trapped underground as I put the desk on the hole I covered with soil and then he just digs out of the ground as if nothing happened. It doesn't work on mobile, maybe only in pc (or so I think)?

escapists 2 is great. but i miss features from escapists 1. mainly prison takeover and prisoner recruiting. it was fun to show the prison who's the boss by destroying prison guards.

My findings until now: I didn't quite find out how I did this but I see that my medic is behaving differently then the one in the video: Instead of holding the guard and trying to bring it back, the medic just runs back and forth in the small 2×1 area. I haven't been able to replicate it yet. Still investigating...

@@ahsanmc Its Center Perks 2.0 Also small update: I think that has something to Do with my savestate; I think I have an glitched savestate, because for example, I am able to go into any inmates cell without the key (on lockdowns or lights out) (And no, I am not able to leave my own cell on lockdown/lights out without the key) Also some inmates just stand on their bed if it's lights out.

i dunno, i don't complain though :D

I think it would be impossible on H.M.P Off-Shore and USS Anomaly...

@@thebananaspeedruns9275 medics can unscrew vent covers and put them back on. Still, they will need a way to reach them, so maybe there is a chance.

@@Rayan-West You can't Block the vents with a desk so no. The trick only works because the medic can't dig up if a desk is standing on top of the hole.

@@removed3755 Yanno, I meant not putting desks under vent entrences, so medics won't be able to reach them. I assume, that they can pick up and put down desks to reach the vents, so it might not be possible.

i think his pathfinding will just make him dig from where you exited the hole. tho you can also dig in a place of a wall and replace the wall as soon as medic replaces the dirt when he goes down, it's not 100% consistent because medic not always replaces the ground, but works (make sure you cover up the hole with soil, you can't place walls on soil but medic replaces it with brand new floor lol)

i did a disclaimer about this on the end of the video; the medic will teleport back to infirmary with the guy he's carrying and start getting the bodies out one by one, so you'll have to redo this

For me he stayed. I covered it up with dirt then placed a desk on it with a gairdvinsode the super covered hole. When the medic went in it he couldn't get out and so the medic stayed.

@@theguideguy9033 they instantly go on lockdown if a guard sees you digging, or you do it in a place where snipers can see you. though they don't bother to instantly sound the alarm when they see a hole, because a digging prisoner is more dangerous than an already ready potential escape route. video game logic right here

You said the medic will return in the next session,but i'll be able to keep the key though righ?

@@MaxerV19 when the medic gets unstuck they automatically warp the body they were carrying previously with them into infirmary, and the guard will wake up after a bit without his key, which will automatically trigger the alarm- so nu :(

Probably get lockdowned and dogs will come get you once you reload since the police wake up

i forgot to mention that but sometimes they glitch and enter the hole in some weird way make sure he sees the hole first before you go into it, he'll say something like "what the..." before resuming chasing you if he doesn't follow you in this time, get out, make some distance, and run back into the hole

you can craft one or take one from a knocked out guard.

You have to enter the hole (2 spaces underground btw), and knock out the guard there.
