Ante 0 is blinds of 100, 150, and 200 or something like that

Technically the blinds could also be 100 150 100 or 100 150 400 cause of certain boss blinds

Skoottie saying : "I hate carulian bell" gave me flashbacks to my same challenge run 10min ago which ended with violet Vessel (300k extra large blind). Impossible to win 😢

@@Josephmother584seeded runs just let you repeat the random outcome of a normal run, they don’t add special rules like eternal pinned daggers.

@@Josephmother584They're built-in challenges, 20 total, ranging from "No money, except from Eggs" to "No jokers". Honestly, I find them more interesting than stake difficulty increases.

polychrome dagger is 100 mult plus base times 1.5 so a little more than 150. BUT since you have 2 daggers the 2nd dagger is considerably more than 150 mult because it adds the 100 then multiplies the mult by 1.5 with the first dagger mult already added 25:38 . I made this novel of a comment all just to say….his dagger is more than 150 mult lol

I have watched quite a few Balatro runs. I must have seen Wheel of Fortune used at least 20 times. This is the first time I've seen it connect.

I liked the challenges, I just wish there where a few more and harder challenges, but maybe i revisit the game if more come in the future

With all the jokers getting constantly made, I have to keep pausing to try and read what they all do to then see how I would have played them. If i get to the point where I know all these cards by sight, I want to rewatch this and judge the decisions in real time.

Some editors on other channels will put the scroll over text as an overlay, it's nice when the streamer knows the game really well and would be a waste of time trying to explain for the people watching the ~30 min version. Haven't seen it done for this game yet though.

Riff-Raff is one of my favorites to see early, even in a normal run. It can really provide a sense of direction early - and I learned today that it can make Jokers with a non-Normal Edition (Polychrome, Foil, Holo, or Negative). Abstract Joker is pretty powerful with Negative. And is generically good anyway. Riff-Raff usually gives me three or four Jokers before I wind up selling it. Seems good with Dagger, though!

I had a great challenge run going with the ceremonial dagger+madness, which was going great and basically a guaranteed win, then I forgot to buy a joker for dagger to eat so it destroyed my madness and i lost. I was so mad at myself lol

One dagger got old and tired of killing so it retired then its dagger son took over. The dagger daddy vowed to never kill its dagger son while the dagger son continues the dagger daddies legacy of killing

I'm no elite gamer and only have about 50 hours in the game, and I've won several runs. There's a lot of randomness, so quite a few runs just fizzle out, but it's very painless to start a run over, and you pick the basics up really quickly. I've had a lot of fun.

Idk how people say "I have only 50 hours" like its required. I won my 3d run, so about on second hour. The game is really straight forward if you take your time to read the descriptions, it looks overwhelming because streamers do not read them, but when you play it's easy

Ah yes, selling riff-raff and using judgment tarot and NOT getting the card riff-raff back immediatly is weird to me since thrice i have sold riff-raff and used judgment just to thrice get riff-raff back immediately. once with cartomancer too, so i honestly dont sell a card to use judgement anymore.

I dont get why some jokers of the same archetype are so inconsistent when it comes to rules. Madness gains Xmult then destroys a joker, Knife destroys a joker then gains +Mult. Madness works when you dont have any other jokers, while Knife doesnt, making Madness objectively better. Yet both are the same rarity, Uncommon.

Knife needs to destroy a joker because its +mult is derived from the sell value of the destroyed joker

Madness is worse than dagger. For one, madness destroys a random joker so its basically only useable as a solo joker or if you have eternal jokers. Also, dagger not working when other jokers arent present makes sense because it gains mult off of sell value, and if theres not a joker theres no sell value

It might seem that way, but xMult is not that useful all by itself, you have to really go out of your way to add glass and +4 mult to your cards and that kind of strategy gets countered hard by the "Play one hand" boss stake. The exception is black stake and above where you can find eternal jokers.

Pretty sure this is 2x (4x is the max) and he has said he keeps it at 2x so its not super slow but still slow enough for newer players/viewers to keep up with whats happening. He did say he might go up to 4x once the game has been out a bit longer. (You can also watch at 2x speed for the gameplay to be 4x if you don’t mind his speech being 2x also).
