I only ride on asphalt streets so love me some nimble, non-suspension wheels 🙂👍

Same here, I’m a street cruiser and non suspension is less to fix down the road. Sherman Max for the win 🎉

After learning on a 14D, my first wheel was the S18, then the RS19HT, then I quickly realized I needed suspension. I've had 3 suspension wheels, and for me, it's a must... I know they will get better as tech improves. Ride on!!!

I was dismissive about suspension until I tried it. Now, I think that not only does it make the ride more enjoyable because I don't wear out my knees, but that it also increases safety by protecting me from unexpected bumps or potholes. Suspension is definitely the way to go! 🤘🤠

I was mad that this was very plain until the last note. I hadn't really thought of it that way. I haven't had any falls due to my wheel free spinning going over cracks and minor pot holes but this does make sense that it would definitely help

when range test of Master? we wait so long for this...... which wheel is better for longer tours - non suspension sherman, non suspension Monster or Master with charger in backpack? And why.

Great and simple comparison. Just imagine the same with a car without suspension. And furthermore, more than the rider, suspension much more protects the axle, the rim, and the motherboard

The real question is: Is it worth all the downside that current suspension EUC bringing with it?.. Obviously it is better to have a suspension, especially if it can be blocked when needed for some reason, but does it worth all the effort, maintenance, smaller battery size and bigger weight - that is something to consider. In the future all or most EUC will have suspension that doesn't require any special maintenance and will be reliable, but not yet, those days are yet to come. So far suspension is still a compromise. Some people really need it now as it is, most don't.
@ElectricUnicycles

Battery size is not an issue. You can buy suspension wheels with 1800wh batteries up to 3600wh and the new Master Pro has a 4800wh battery
@heymelon
@heymelon 2 жыл бұрын
@@ElectricUnicycles And suspensions add weight, and so does the bigger battery packs. It still has ways to go to be the no drawback obvious inclusions for all users and depending on how and where you ride the upsides might not be worth it currently. I for instance have never bumped around like the guys in the clip, but I might be a little lucky with the local tarmac quality.

Well if suspensions had zero upside it would be very surprising people were willing to pay the extra in hassle, weight and money to use it. Looks like there was a lot of tire pressure in the non suspension wheels to go off like that but maybe the trail is bumpier than it looks on video. I've haven't had bouncing like that personally but I don't ride that much off road like this.

Oh yes the more tyre on the road the less slip and traction. If you have good free moving suspension then it gets like a magic carpet ride.

Hey Marty I have a question what is the best way to fix a dent in the rim? I just got the vetermax and put a huge dent in it 😢 block of wood with a hammer? Should I torch the rim?
@ElectricUnicycles
@ElectricUnicycles 2 жыл бұрын
I've never had a dented rim so I have do personal experience. But what you describe (no heat) is the general approach. But be slow and gentle while pounding the rim.

for a good road and track I do prefer non suspension wheel because I had tried begode hero on racing track last June and it is horrible at corner, my friends who tried Master at that time also said the performance on racing track is less stable at corner compared to Begode RS and Sherman.
@ElectricUnicycles
@ElectricUnicycles 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Master is not best for high-speed cornering but I will say that there's a night-and-day difference if you ride a Master with a good street tire.

@@ElectricUnicycles V13 seem can be a good choice for those who need to own just one wheel. Going offroad or casual road riding use the suspension. When racing at track remove the suspension.

0:28 haha yeah, that's it right there. Slower going and pickier with choosing lines on non-suspension. If there was an equivalent performance, form factor, and weight RS19HT suspension wheel I'd go for it. I'd even compromise on the weight a little bit, but probably not 30-40+ lbs. Hopefully the old knees hold out in the meantime :)

@ShadKS18XL

That is the problem here... Suspension wheels aren't yet ready to step in the market, every SUSEUC out there has some sort of problems and compromises. But, no doubt that it brings a higher level of comfort and some safety to the rider, and after trying it it is harder to go back, so you start to accept all the bad and ugly things that current suspension wheels are bringing with it. It is best not to try suspension wheel until something good comes out, something that won't compromise everything just for comfort like S18 does for example. Maybe Inmotion V13 will be the first actual good suspension wheel - maybe...

Don't see your point here... "Champion" is not about EUC, but the rider. You can present Gotway Master to my wife and she still won't go faster than 30kph... So it is hard to say what EUC is better on the road, most of it depends on who rides it.

@@ShadKS18XL take two riders with exactly the same skill set give one a suspension wheel and one a none suspension wheel. Let them race on street the suspension wheel will loose every single time, that is my point. The opposite for off road the suspension would be the champion, common sense.
