Thank you very much for this video. My family attended an Alliance church when I was a young child, and I had no idea that the history of this denomination was so crazy! I am really looking forward to the next episode of this series.

@@charleshays5407 That’s very interesting. I might have to read one of his books some time. It may be a while before I do, though. I’m trying to read George Warnock’s The Feast of Tabernacles right now, to get a better understanding of the theology that came out of the Latter Rain movement, and it is a chore. LOL I’m not even half way through the first chapter yet, and it’s already driving me nuts. I’m a slow reader to start with, so it’s hard for me. LOL Was there anything in particular from Tozer’s books that really stood out to you that you can recall right now? I’d be very interested if you feel like sharing. 😊

There are anomalies in perfection teachers, sometimes strained the gnats and swallowing camels. If you preach perfection standards it has far reaching ramifications. . Most of their own ministers would be disqualified. It is easy to give evidence that you have attained it if you have absolutely despotic control, if you can excommunicate anyone who dissents, if you control the narrative,, if you can punish anyone who questions....... Many a gift speaker has given the impression that they have had unbroken success. Godly maturity is a better goal. It can be a noble striving towards (perfection) buyer beware believing advertised achievements of it....Most self proclaimed spiritual attainers can't be around real people in real situations...faith healers have to create an aura around themselves. ....better to have humility about ourselves

Jesus told his disciples that they were blessed for hearing the word of God, that this is a key distinctive for attaining participation in God's kingdom, that many would try to enter and could not.....listen to Jesus, Hear what Christ is saying and follow God

Interesting connection, Simpson University in Redding, CA is Christian Missionary Alliance, also the hometown of Bethel church in Redding, CA which is NAR. Simpson resembled more Baptist beliefs in recent years to my knowledge though. Interesting.

Funny thing is i always felt the NAR was too much hoscus pocus and almost hinduistic and mystic for me yet i liked word of faith because it was less emotional. Later i found out they are very related but sometimes just look different

Word of Faith is an actual movement. NAR started out as a Pentecostal global church planting trend, but then the definition began to wander around to include pretty much the majority of the Pentecostal/Neo Pentecostal world.

Missionary comes from Latin meaning "sent one." Apostle comes from Greek meaning the same thing. It is an unusual usage of missionary, but not necessarily incorrect.

@@MrResomationI believe missionaries are in fact sent but it's doubtful they're sent by God. I'm convinced they're sent by man. Yes God can and does use them while they're abroad. But God can use anybody. He even uses the adversary Satan for his own purposes for good.

I like your use of the word "box" here! It's probably the first time I have heard or read the word box used in relation to this topic without feeling nauseated. Generally, it's something along the lines of "You can't put God inside of a box"... almost always used along side of "Touch not my anointed...". That's when you know that you have said something, or simply ask a valid question in regards to their deception. I just had to chime in to say thank you. You are exactly right about this!

Are you perhaps part of a 5-fold ministry? I'm only asking because I obviously cannot tell exactly what your tone/posturing is simply by reading your words. I'm asking if you are a part of 5-fold ministry because you came across pretty strong in both the emphasis on being an evangelical/ evangelist in addition to defending this type of teaching/ "doctrine" ~ the quotations are becoming I have never personally known of such a church who was both able AND willing to state what their actual doctrine is. Mission Statement: yes Foundation: yes (although the foundation has never included Jesus Christ) Pillars of Purpose: yes Etc. Etc. Etc. Please understand that when I say that I have "never personally known of..." I am only referring to where I have been myself, and even the church where I was an active, faithful, regularly attending member for the first several years after getting saved. I am not including anyone, or anywhere that I have learned of in any other way. I'd just like for you to understand that I am not coming from an offensive posturing when I ask if you are a part of a 5-fold ministry. If you choose to reply, and interact then we can go from there.

Scientology 9nly has about 35,000 people, world wide, so it's a smaller group than this one, but videos exposing the evil of that group are not propaganda, so why do you say this is propaganda?
