Dang, that's a beautiful easel!! :D I don't understand why people are upset or confused about the cost. I've seen more expensive easels that were no where near as good, let alone as versatile as this one. And while it's out of my price range for now, I'm excited about what this could mean for the future of easels!

Oof, this easel is super expensive for what it is. Great review, but $1400 is way too much for a magnetic piece of wood with a pump.

Aaron, not to be rude and I enjoyed your presentation but most stainless steel grades are not magnetic, because they lack ferrous (iron) structure because of the high nickel content, it appears to be powder coated steel, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am a painter and have used traditional easels for over 25 years. They are always the same clunky, design that is not very versatile. I have never seen any easle that has been totally reimagined like this. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Any artist who uses an easle everyday knows what they cost. You can get a starter one for 100 bucks or a professional one for $3000. Quality art supplies are not cheap so all you haters can get over yourself. This one is reasonably priced for what it is.

I’m no art snob, but a lot of the comments saying that this easel is too expensive after the demo Aaron just provided are making me roll my eyes... if you’re serious and want the best tools this seems almost too good to be true for what it’s capable of. There are no other easels on the market that can do everything that this one does. I’ve built easels and I’m blown away and actually a little sad that I didn’t think outside the box enough to come up with this idea first! Haha... but price point? This thing’s a bargain at 1400.00 for what it can do!

I think it’d be great for people like you. You’re definitely a professional and can use something like this when you work professionally. But I think I’ll go get a easel for $40+ from hobby lobby. Im too much of broke college student for this 😂

My guess is because of the quality and the idea, and the target market is probably too small for the price to be even lower however the same Target Market on average does not tend to make that much so unless this is made to order I can see this not working out all too great

This looks pretty brilliant and I’m noticing a lot of people mention the price point as being too high? I would challenge anyone, just from watching your demo, to find an easel as capable as this one for that price point. The rotation feature of putting your canvas in any position alone is amazing and then to drop it down into a table position??? I would almost argue that 1400 bucks is an incredible bargain in comparison to any other quality easel on the market.

The only thing I would change at all is adding smooth rolling locking casters so you can move it around easily.

This is obviously for professionals. Most easels in this caliber are for folks that are working at it every day making their living at like me. The price is right in the range as other easels I've bought or looked at. They are in the 1K-2K range. Sounds relatively inexpensive for what it does and the work you’re able to do on it in relation to other high end easels on the market, I’m pretty impressed with the engineering behind this. Try checking out Hughes easels and you’ll quickly see the value in this one. And don’t get me wrong, Hughes easels makes some of the very best easels on the market. It all boils down to how important an easel is to the work you’re doing and whether it’s your craft or just a hobby, I think.

@@gmcubed It's a large, heavy piece of gear made for a small and specialist market that expects their gear to hold up to years (or decades) of abuse, so they're expensive. But they don't have to be, if you've got the time/skills/imagination you can build a pretty good easel out of a step ladder and some plywood. That's what Bob Ross did.

Amazon sells a great rotating piece you can add onto your easel to turn the canvas 360° and it’s only 300$.

Yes, this is a beautiful looking easel and I'm sure the materials used are rather expencive but this is almost one and a half grand, that's not an everyday easel for people starting out by any means

Yes, like $1400 right now as a pre purchase. Then is like $1800/2000. The funny thing is you can make something as this yourself for little money. Of course, this is a beautiful piece, but only worthy for PRO "everyday" artist indeed.

Way too expensive for its basic function imo. Professional or not, there are satisfactory, perfectly functional solutions that are available for a fraction of the prize. Nice if you have you have a lot of cash burning in your pocket, otherwise, "meh". I hope they gave you one for free for the making of this commercial Aaron.

I've used a lot of easels over the last 40 years. ALL at the lower price point easels never last more than 10 or 15 years. This on will still be around long after I'm gone.

On a more serious note, you don't know how well this new product will stand the test of time (though I have no doubt it is high quality). There is the law of diminishing returns. Thát was what I was talking about. I will never feel the need to spend that amount of money for something i can get for a fraction of the price, and just a little less comfort/quality. That ratio is just not worth it imo. Still wonder whether you paid actual cash for yours....
