Just because you’re extroverted doesn’t mean you’re automatically good at reaching out to other people to hang out. Being extroverted is mainly about needing to surround yourself with people in order to feel alive and thriving. An introvert can be good at socializing, but ultimately they are their happiest when they have space to be alone (socializing drains them). For example someone I know is very extroverted, but unfortunately she’s in a pretty tough social situation where she now lives far from everyone she used to hang out with all the time and finding new people in this new area has been hard. It’s great to hear you’re able to have people around that help you out though!

The argument "you shouldn't analyze what the artist wrote if they have studied calligraphies, because they won't teach you something about the person since it's hidden so well" is a similar argument to "you shouldn't analyze the private behavior of an actor, since their acting can hide their real them so well".
@bringhomethebasil8729
@bringhomethebasil8729 Жыл бұрын
More like, you shouldn’t judge the character of a person based on an acting role they play because acting was a learnt art and it doesn’t represent who they actually are. People who want to study a lost art (calligraphy) are more prone to reminiscing, socializing and are aesthetically conscientious

No - acting is not on the same level as behavior, & a narcissist can be more easily recognized when they’re an actor- they aren’t able to mimic true emotions, they try, but are only accessing them from memories of what they’ve seen in others, NOT from what they’ve actually FELT. When you understand narcissism, it makes this very clear - see HG Tudor’s channel, and the behavior experts on The Behavior Panel, & linguist & behavior expert Martin Decoder.

Yesterday a friend and i got a paper in class to fill out and she was like" My handwriting is so ugly since we always write on the computer and don't practice" And all i could notice is that she wrote pretty smal, so i said " Nah it's just a bit smal, do you feel smal on the inside?🥺" And she said yes jokingly and then wrote the rest of the paper bigger, lol.

I did not like my handwriting as a child, when I got to middle school, there was a girl I just loved, she was so sweet and her handwriting was beautiful. It was honestly like art. So in trying to copy her writing and practicing often, mine got so much better. But now - yes! We use computers so often, I filled out paperwork for a doctor recently and was so embarrassed! It looked awful. So just practice a bit. Write birthday cards and thank you cards, people *love* getting real mail.

Leah as a Myers Briggs fanatic since you talked about the test, it is my duty to stop the misunderstanding of MBTI. The test is inaccurate as soon as you know you are taking a test, and you confuse the person you are with the person you want to be. If you want to find out what your type is, look up the cognitive functions and see which ones you think you have and ask other people about it. Then arrange them in terms of which ones you prefer to use most of the time. Then you'll get your type.

100% agreed. I've always typed Leah as an ENFJ, which means she possesses the cognitive functions Fe-Ni-Se-Ti, but it doesn't have to necessarily mean that she's socially an extrovert. Cognitive extroversion/introversion and social extroversion/introversion can be different after all.

The Meyer-Briggs Test results varies according to the time of day it's taken, it's length and other factors so wouldn't let it influence any decisions you make. Similiar to the Max Luscher Color Test, Five sense Test, Enneagram Test and others it's entertaining though. Carl Jung never approved of the Meyers-Brigg Test.

As a calligrapher myself, I can definitely attest to the fact that calligraphy is different than handwriting. Yes, my normal writing has adopted some aspects of my calligraphy, but there is definitely a huge difference between the two. Having training in calligraphy allows me to morph my handwriting a bit more easily than most other people can, but I still have a couple of styles (one is messy and for scribbling down notes and the other is for readability) that do not change.

There is a video out there where she and Harry are signing a marriage license, (presumably). You can see when she signed her name which has no 'i's' to dot or 't's' to cross, after she signs her name, she goes back and puts one of her flourishes on it. The first time I saw her handwriting, I thought, "OMG, Harry's in for it now."

I know very little about handeriting analysis, but it'd make sense to me that, for people that learned cursive according to a guidebook in school, that guidebook should be taken into account in the analysis. For example: Brazilian book calligraphy is extremely round with very large middle zones; English copperplate, which seems to be what Meghan was taught, has very small middle zones, arcadic flourishes, and "sharper" a's and o's. For people in their late 20s and older, if they didn't write a lot since school or if they like to stick to the "right way" of doing things, you can definitely tell from their handwriting being closer to the taught style.
@Graphogenealogic

I hope your year keeps getting better and better! I just found your channel on my own journey this year to learn something new everyday, with an emphasis on adding at least a new word to my vocabulary. This year is also big for me because I enrolled back into college after dropping out 4 times! It’s a blessing that I was allowed back, I had to do a SAP appeal which was nerve wracking but it was nothing compared to what was the catalyst of my return back to college, I was in a tornado December 2021 in Dawson springs, KY. Thankfully my family and I and my cat Pearl were all ok, but I ended up having a mental breakdown and loosing my mind over the year since it happened. Once some of the fog cleared in my head I thought that I need to go back and get my degree, my life was spared and I should make sure not to waste any more of it, I’m 42 y/o and I’m over the hill I know but I got lots of living left to do!

Markle is not doing calligraphy. Not even close. She obviously knows what calligraphy looks like, but her hand can't do it. She hasn't built up the years of muscle memory/consistency for it. Her writing is just normal nice handwriting with good stroke order, and then afterwards she adds some flourishes to random ascenders that she's aware make the overall effect more "fancy". The most you can say is that she's a lettering enthusiast. Try photoshopping out all her add-ons, and then look more clearly.

I can't believe that analysis of calligraphic handwriting can be a valid indicator of personality. It is done for show. So only certain types of writing are going to be suitable, probably large and with a lot of flourishes and elaboration. On top of this it is something which has been taught to someone as a discipline, so probably it reflects more what the person who taught the calligraphy was teaching.

I’m definitely an extrovert but I also don’t always know how to approach people. I end up being very awkward but in the end, the people I connect with most are also very awkward. I think extroversion and social are different. I know introverts who are very social but they’re definitely introverts. There’s also such thing as a shy extrovert. Being an extrovert just has to do with where your mental energy goes, it could be toward other people, or other outer sources and often times that just leads us to other people and we have that need to be around others for that reason.

What is interesting having studied people for 25 years is that people " leak" in all sorts of ways, and handwriting is just another avenue for this leak to occur of who you are are. We are all complex human beings and I guess there is no end to understanding human nature in all it's multifaceted forms.

Aaah Leah! I'm so glad you posted. I don't usually comment on videos but whenever you talk about the aggressiveness of handwriting I have to think about the "Sütterlin script" and I wish there was a video of you talking about it lol. It's the handwriting that was taught in the Weimar Republic (former Germany) and, even though it was taught, it shows the character of that country so well. For a while I was even trying to learn that handwriting, cause I found it pretty, however, I was never able to incorporate it into my everyday life because it just felt too aggressive and too mind-comprising. Your videos have really opened my eyes for graphology and I can now connect so many features of people and culture to handwriting that I feel as though it opened a whole new chapter to how humans can be understood. So thank you and continue being such a lovely person!

I have quite a different oppinion on MMs handwriting and signature. Even if a person has studied Calligraphy as I have done myself one has their own natural writing. Maybe slightly neater and more controlled perhaps but still ones own. 2. Her writing is psuedo handwriting and unnecessarily dressed up as if attending a 'masked' ball. Deluberately creating a false impression. 3. The perfect spaces, lines, neatness, margin width are all positive but unnatural. I wouldnt trust this person at all not to crack and reveal her true self, letting the cat out the bag. 4. The huge big umbrella arcades self protection and hiding. Hiding what? Perhaps hiding the shame of her background as it leans towards the left, even though she has worked hard to rise above what ever she is hiding. 5. Her signature isn't regarding herself as less important that others or who the letter is written to being considered more respectful but her own name becoming more thread like is in my oppinion confirmation of her not wanting other people to truly know who she is. Ive only ever known one other person to write so beautifully and she was a split personality. She once cut the sleeves off every shirt in her boyfriends cupoard and destroyed one of ever shoe belonging to his secret lover. The point is this writing is fake.

The kind of extroversion you're talking about is the sort that most closely correlates on MBTI with the ESFJ type. The closer somebody is to ESFJ, the more they'll be the stereotypical "hey person, come over and hang out!" type of extrovert. The further you get from ESFJ, the less you'll look like that even if you're an extrovert.

When I went to college your finals had to be done on a computer or at least a typewriter, because of my excellent penmanship, I had to write a double spaced clearly written report and maintained an A_ average on graduation. If people all take penmanship and were graded by 5 points off for each wrongly printed letter, this definitely would be a pseudoscience.

I’m sure Meghan Markle would be thrilled with your analysis of her based on her writing. She’s all about being perceived as “kind” and caring more about others than herself. Her demonstrated actions in life as opposed to what she puts on paper prove otherwise. I’m a bit surprised that you didn’t call her out on this ‘calligraphy’ of hers. What she does is not calligraphy-the Coronation invitations show real calligraphy. Meg’s got stylized schoolgirl handwriting. Those splashy, grossly overused flourishes might fool Harry that she’s doing calligraphy, but there’s no evidence of calligraphic forms in the rest of her letters. The samples you looked at were composed for fans, so of course she made them as ornate as possible. It’s a very tight and compressed script which points to a rigid and controlling nature, par for the course in a narcissist. I thought by the title of this video that you were going to find sociopath features in her writing. They are there loud and clear to me. Do you feel like analyzing some of her banana-grams? 😂

Meh. You can’t identify what she’s doing cause she thinks it will look good or because it’s just what she’d naturally do. There’s no way to know. She’s also on tv! She could be super nervous in the moment, or want to make sure her writing looks food. All these things could alter an analysis too much.

I'm so happy to see other types of videos! I'm so happy for you ig, I'm so glad you're doing great :) Edit: oh! 2023 uhh not going so great tbh, entering another depression phase, I'm much more confident (shaved my head), but ig I just feel dead all the time, but I've actually made daily habits now, so it'll probably get better soon as I build on those

That doesn’t look like calligraphy. It looks to me my cursive with random flourishes added to the top of k, h, a lot of I’s.

You'd sound better if, instead of using a hackneyed obscene metaphor, you were to learn more synonyms for the meaning of the metaphor and use each of them equally as often as you have habitually and imitatively used the obscene metaphor,
