@@LeaderOfMischief i love watch dogs one in the fact that it is properly dark in the streets but the second one is the most realistic and authentic as its gradual across each street. Do remember that one is set in the future so you can’t really say its bad as there is different technology involved (aka Ubisofts excuse for lazy interactions)

I love the sound, But because the lights remain on in Legion's blackout or system crash as it's called in that game it feels slightly out of place.

I think the fact that it's more than Blume holding ctOS, making it harder if not impossible for Aiden to utilize Blackout. Aside from that, Blackout is a powerful albeit cool hack that utilizes specific backdoor access vulnerabilities to ctOS. Obviously they've been upgrading ever since. That's why you can get full district Blackout in WD1, partial Blackout in WD2, and just a System Crash in WD: Legion. They're getting better at plugging the holes in their system.

Legion is already way too easy, blackout would make it ludicrously easy

Watch dogs is my favorite of the series, but I wouldn't say it was made with hackers in mind. When Defalt is hacking the bunker, T-Bone and Aiden start freaking out trying to figure out how to lock him out, when they could have just. unplugged the router.

How is it shitty? The ability on its own is impressively helpful, specially if you're getting swarmed by enemies

Aiden's System Crash is completely different from Blackout and functions way too differently from Blackout as well. Blackout is not useless in Legion, it doesn't exist in this game at all. And System Crash makes every hackable objects go haywire, including enemies with comms, either they get distracted or disrupted, which either way are great when you want to get away or take everything down (which is basically similar to when you do a Blackout, except instead of enemies being blinded, they get disrupted by their comms, so it's still just as good). It's not Blackout, but it's nowhere near useless at all.

Aiden's hacking device does not cause a blackout , it only hacks every electronic device in the area , including jamming guns.

It's probably called system crash which is kind of like Blackout but different cause it can disrupt tech including drones and stuns enemies with it.

@@matheussuzuki1046 okay it's a long time since I last played the game, but I think it works this way: You have to be only wanted with one star/level, be on foot and don't move while a cop approaches you. If you run they start shooting. And obviously you shouldn't have your gun equipped :D Do all that and Aiden should raise his hands and surrender, while a cop slowly appraches you. Then you can cause a blackout, shoot the cop, melee attack him, ...

@@matheussuzuki1046 oh and I think it only works for the first acts in the game, I believe up until act 3 or 4. Don't know the exact point in the campaign, I only know that later in the game it doesnt work anymore.

yeah i did this glitch and it glitches the 3 hacks marcus has during multiplayer sessions and if you suicide or end up killed your hacks timer will start to speed up randomly

sadly i tried the same thing offline and it resets all the hacks back to normal at its regular timer

Well, look at it this way, the game was not made for blackout, they didn't know they're gonna add it because bloodline wasn't a thing in plans when they were making the map, in order to add blackout they would have to redo the entire map to support the system of turning off lights, which at this point is too late for

It's a different ability and I see many people in the comments prefer blackout over system crash. I, for one, like system crash. But it would've been cooler if they kept blackout but just made it more difficult to perform, like having set it up like in the first game

Aiden was never a hacker, he only used scripts made by hackers. Thats why Aiden was on the ground while Damien was the actual hacker.

What is it called? I haven't played Legion and was wondering what ability it is, as it didn't look like blackout. But even if it is something different in Legion, atleast Watch Dogs 2 deserves to be called out. And Legion too, if it doesn't have the option to blackout at all, since it is a signature hack
