Ghosts is my favorite when it came to character customization. Making your soldier look any way you want. And the dlc character packs were the best part later on. Especially playing as the Ghosts characters from the Campaign.

I really miss faction weapon based characters in cod 4, waw, mw2, mw3, and bo2 any one else agree? Makes more sense if you have a sniper and you're granted a ghillie suit, or a lmg guy would be bulkier.

I feel like Cod Advanced Warfare was underrated. Yeah it was different and first to have supply drops but the campaign story was better than most. Sledgehammer took a risk to make this game different. It just went down hill because of supply drops. (My opinion)

I like how when he got to advanced warfare he went to create a class and the mirco transactions. AW had THE best in depth customization for your operator. I wish they kept that for the rest of the games.

Personally, I loved BO3 customisation. It was fun, whacky and was COOL. Also paint jobs were the BEST. We need them back and permanent in COD

WWII encouraged hard work for collections and free care packages over purchasing them. I really liked that game honestly. I wish they kept having variants of the attachments, I feel the weapons looked more like someone's own weapon instead of being like every other persons.

In mw2 you could acutally change the look of your solider in the sniper role by completing a challenge that required you to get 300 one shot kills with a sniper rifle EDIT: by completing the challenge you get the infamous ghillie suit

The character customization award goes to Cod ghosts imo, The fact that you were able to change your character into a ghillie suit.. marine.. and alot of other things is pretty cool.

I miss advanced warfare outfits , I love the way you can customize your character and the gun variants were crazy , good days man.

Loved the pick 13 and full character customization in AW, but the supply drops kind of sucked. But I liked being able to forgo attachments and tactical equipment or secondary weapons in order to use extra perks. And also, being able to customize each piece of clothing/gear.

The Gunsmith in Modern Warfare is so good, it's the first thing that got me to come back to COD after years of playing Battlefield (since customisation in BF1 and BFV has fallen off since BF4). I really hope the Gunsmith or something similar stays in COD going forward, it's so in depth and the fact you can modify your base weapons into something that functions so completely differently is something that no other FPS games even come close to, it gives you something tangible to grind for and it's really rewarding to level up a weapon you think is pretty mid tier so you can put together a build and make it beastly; each attachment having clear pros AND cons beyond "silencer make you quiet but it reduce damage" is one of the things MW 2019 actually did get right in terms of balance (if you ignore archangel Grau in Warzone). TL;DR Gunsmith is sick and I'll be sick if the new Black Ops takes it away from me.

I wish they would have a creative style like Ghost Recon Wildlands. Were you can completely customize your character outfit

Watching you go through Black Ops menu makes me miss that game so much. Hoping they will remaster BO! I would so play that game like crazy.

Miss the artwork we could put on weapons. Loved having my name on my gun and hated seeing my name on the gun that killed me, lol. Also miss mixing helmets and body armor for characters to make them different from other players. I really dislike seeing half my team being twins . I like that they actually look like soldiers, well mostly, but I want my character and weapons to stand out from the crowd. MW is a step back in customization IMO.

you missed battlepass varients or the buyable varients which you earn blueprints and stuff to change the weapons appearance, and they usually get unlocks for each weapon varient
