Yes, I was as a child obsessed with Sky Dancers! I had the one with the moon launcher and the castle as well. My mom got me the VHS tapes of the Sky Dancers series, I can to this day quote most of it because I watched it almost everyday for a whole year. My favorite way I would play with my Sky dancers was to check if my older sister was in her room and then projectile launch it in there and close the door as she yelled at me..🤣

I am the proud owner of a Sky Dancer and I adore her! It’s the castle one from the original 90’s line. I found her in a thrift shop and bought her in a heartbeat.

I had 5 Sky Dancers! 2 castle ones, one flower one, one mini dancer, and one Sky Dancer that didn't fly but balanced on the tip of your finger. None of mine ever caused any injuries, but that's probably because I was promised pain of death if I flew them in the house, lol.

I had the one with the dolphin launcher and she’s usually my Barbie’s sister or daughter. I remember the mechanism of the launcher broke right away so my Sky Dancer never had the chance to hurt me or my playmates lol It’s sad that the new 2022 dolls don’t have those intricately designed launchers anymore. I’d love to get one if they remade the original sculpts!

I was an 80's baby, but even at 15 those looked so cool I almost wanted one. I saw the updated ones almost bought one yesterday. I live for fairies🧚🏾‍♀️ & the one you're holding is my favorite color & she has brown skin! It's so difficult to find brown fairies that I decided to learn to draw so I could make my own. My bedroom is now covered in Black fairies wearing shades of purple 💜. Oh & it's pronounced Ga-loob. I'm very familiar with 80's & 90's toy companies because my school was focused on economics & every child pretended to buy stocks so of course we all 'purchased' toy, kids media companies & toy stores

The Sky Dancer was Star Shimmer and also a gift to my cousing Macarena. I was absolutelly amazed and blowed away when I saw that marvelous toy. But as a boy, I wasn't brave enough to ask my parents for a Sky Dancers, so my dream was stucked in time. But 7 to 8 years ago, I started to collect Sky Dancers and I never stoped!! My fist one was a bootleg one, and by the time I found some originals on ebay and others in my country. Sky Dancers take me to a magical world which is real when I play with them. I remember these! I also was born in 1992. My next door neighbor had one with the flying horse or the unicorn launcher. She was my older sister's friend but she was always so nice to me. She would let me play with her Sky Dancer I remember the string fob came off and I took the launcher apart and got the string back out and fixed it. She let me keep it after that because I played with it so much.

Would you consider doing a video on the evolution of the 3 inch Polly Pocket-esque Disney Princess dolls? Those were always a favorite of mine when I was younger, and I had a handful of the ones from Mattel's magic clip line released around 2014.

Fellow 1992 baby here! My older sister had one of the original crescent moon versions and I had the rolling pegasus. I can distinctively remember us playing in our grandma’s front garden and seeing how hard and fast we could fling them into the air. I don’t remember any injuries, but I do know that our mom never bought us any more! Also… did anyone else used to chew on the foam wings??

When I was a little kid in the 70s, we used to play with those maple seeds. We called them helicopters. We were army brats, so it made sense.

I grew up in the early 2010s and never had a sky dancer, but the mention of the maple seeds at the beginning brought back memories i had totally forgotten about!! I remember playing with those in 2011-2012!! Watching them spin was so fun and i used to also bury them in the ground in hopes of more trees growing. I had the first blue one on the left with purple hair and blue dress with pink accents, and she was a sea launcher and then I also had the last one with the green wings with the bodice of flowers and she was a flower launcher. I got one for Christmas 1994 when I was 4, and for my 5th birthday in 1995 I got the second one. They were from those first releases. I’m not such a fan of the new ones, I really loved the sculpts for the bases of those first OG sky dancers. But I can clearly remember her blue tights with pink ballet shoes, blue wings with pink middles and her dolphin launcher even today.

I had the big swan rolling deluxe one and I still have my very first one which is the blue and purple/pink dolphin one. My lil bro had the dragon flyz ones and we would play together with them. I do remember the flapping bird/ airplane style one and I had the punk one but don't have that one anymore either.

My little sister and I got the original dolls in our Easter basket in 1995 and they were definitely the most coveted toys on our street with every kid regardless of gender wanting to play with them. They were so fun but very tricky to catch as gracefully as the kids did the commercials. We kept trying to see how high we could make them fly, especially if we could get it over the power line to our house😅 We also would try to get them to hit each other in the air which was a lot harder to do than we thought. No injuries that I can remember. Super fun toy and I loved playing with them🥰

I loved getting a Sky Dancer back when they were first released. I had so much fun with it, but it was dangerous. I remember a time when my grandma tried mine out and it traveled from the living room to the dining room and broke her chandelier. I was just glad she was the one who caused the damage and not me.

I was never into dolls as a kid, but these seemed so cool. I would always play with them whenever a cousin or friend had them. I have vague memories of getting one of the dragon boy versions eventually… But I’m not entirely sure… Maybe it gave a concussion and I forgot.

And a helicopter that did the same thing. lol I just loved toys like that in general. My little brother has something like that now and its STILL so much fun

I didn't know there were other people who enjoyed my era of barbie dolls & it's brought back a lot of positive memories for me. I had a rough childhood & playing with Barbie dolls & watching the movies was sometimes my only escape. I had several of the McDonalds toy versions that could only spin and not fly. I remember playing with them the night Princess Diana died. I also had a skydancers book.

My mom got me one from Building #19 (its a bargain store that has since closed down) This store was notorious locally for selling old prison uniforms. Before the start of the video, my mom said i had a Tinker Bell sky dancer. I was like, "No youre crazy because it would have been a Disney collab. And i never had a Disney Sky Dancer." Turns out there WAS a Tinker Bell Sky Dancer. I had 2 of their DVD's as well.

We had the deluxe rolling blue swan and pink pegasus sky dancer toys as kids, one of each is on a shelf right next to me rn, the dolls spin when the launcher is rolled, we would pretend they were parade floats in doll parades, and we watched the show with our cousin 🦢

I got the 2005 reboot Camile doll for Easter that year and loved (I didn't look at her name on the box so I called her Sky Dancer). I didn't watch the dvd she came with for some reason, tried it once and didn't watch the show again until a few years ago (love it BTW). The only toys to come with a VHS or dvd that I actually watched was Care Bears. The same thing happened with a doll from Magical DoReMi/Ojamajo Doremi (Mirabelle/Aiko if you're curious. I didn't watch the show at the time, I just wanted her bacause she was blue, my favorite color at the time. Plus the dvd is the only physical release Doremi ever got in the states). I'm pretty sure Dad still has Camile somewhere, I'll check next time I visit.

I used to play with mapleseeds as a kid we called them helicopters I also had a few happy meal skydancers and a knock off skydancer castle that came with a skydancer doll with a plastic rubber dress and a mini doll

I had a Sky Dancer Masque doll (Corallina) which according to Ghost of the Doll seems to have been only sold in Italy? Which is bizarre because I'm a born and raised Canadian and was with my mom when she bought me the doll at Kmart. The dolls were inspired by French pantomime, which is pretty sophisticated for a kid's toy.
