i am 51 now and still remember buying in the sign of evil in 84,people might not think that australians were into this music but they were,there was a huge thrash movement here in that era,we thought it was so funny listning to a german trying to sing english but hell it was good to bang your head too and i still listen to sodom all the time.

Kreator or Destruction

Getting Blackfire back into the band was the worst move Tom could do. Such a bad guitarist. He's back in the band now for so many years and still is not able to accurately play the songs. He must be the sloppiest "professional" guitarist I've ever known. And he's still, like in the 80s, shouting some random BS into the microphone on stage in his need for admiration. Sodom have never been a technically capable band. But this guy....it's ridiculous. Absolutely unreasonable. I'm an oldschool guy. I already listened to Sodom in the 80s. And I honestly think that Bernemann was the best Guitarist Sodom ever had. Good stage presence, likeable, energetic, cheerful, powerful. Of course no Guthry Govan. But way ahead of a Blackfire or any other Sodom guitarist. Musically, at least for live-situations, it was a big mistake to fire him.
