Seeing chiefs helmet without the lines made my brain pause for a good minute

Talking about "Chief's eyes" really started the mood for the video. It really got into the emotional feel of the armor that I don't think anyone has really reflected on.

This music brings me back to when I started playing halo in halo 2...

Rewatching these after about a year, and something just hit me about the Halo 4 and 5 designs for Master Chief: His armor is designed to "not look right" if he has his arms down. It's such a poignant statement about the nature of his character. He only looks "right" and "good" when his arms are up, holding a weapon or in a fighting stance, so he's supposed to always have his guard up, and conversely, how vulnerable he is with his guard down. I think it really shows how much thought 343 put into his character for Halo 4, and I was always disappointed at the fan reaction to the design, even if the critique for the MP armors was still pretty valid.

4:50 Seeing the blacked lower middle part of the visor for H3's helmet (the "nose" cut-out) made me focus on the visor shape and realize how it looks more like a soldier's protected face. It looks significantly more human than H2's, if you squint you can see more of military protecting glasses (styled like HWDE/2), which is very fitting. With the music it gave me vibes of the _Remember Reach_ commercial, I remembered that there is an actual human underneath the armor. Strong stuff.

I never noticed until this video that there are differences between the Halo 2 and 3 Helmets.

Personally I like the halo 4-5 design of the helmet however halo 2’s - reach was my favorite design I hope infinite brings both designs into the game in multiplayer player

I always loved the detailed design in halo 4 and 5. It felt like an evolution for everything, I think the problem was that 343 didn't give an explanation for the armor change, like in halo 2, after that I will miss this design

My theory is that the lines on the Mjolnir helmets acts as an indication of where the HUD (Heads Up Display) would be. Also, I’m hoping that the Mark VI Mod/Gen. 2 armor that the Chief previously wore makes a reappearance as a Gen. 3 port in Infinite. I loved that suit because it made the Chief look far more bulkier and stronger, a perfect appearance for a SPARTAN-II imo.

Mark V is my favorite, cant wait for SPV3.3 that will sport a remastered MkV. Unlike the ungoddlyness that is Anniversary.

The editing on your vids is top notch the musical transitions are seamless too. That *Hope* moment when Chief's first infinite look swelled in like we were in the dark times for Halo to have this breath of light and fresh air. I do like the way the '18 helmet looked but wouldn't have it any other way than it is right now as far as chief's look. ___ It was particularly rough for me, Halo lost me so xbox lost me when I played 4. Reach was my last favoured game so seeing how 5 was I was all but convinced halo would never be for me again. but Halo Wars 2 was the first time I ever considered picking up the series again, seeing the Mjolnir MK IV in all it's beauty make a return and seeing how well the Classic halo artstyle in the modern era, but updated brought hope to me. I still wouldn't get the X1 for it but seeing the Blur Cutscenes for HW2, And the 'Know your Enemy' ad is Beautiful and one of my most favourite pieces of Halo media ever made. _ The Infinite reveal for 2018 and the current look for chief has restored my faith in the series, HW2 was enough to see there's still a chance but the form reinvention for Infinite and 343 is enough to bring me back. I hope for Multiplayer there will be a Mjolnir MK IV option that would make it 10/10 for me as long as it's as beautiful as the HW2.

I like the multiplayer versions of h2a, halo 4 and halo 5. Mainly because of proportions but also because of the helmet, sometimes it looks a bit smooshed horizontally but I like the vibe and individual plates and stuff

For chief I generally prefer h2 anniversarys design for the mk 6. But there are some h4 aspects I prefer. like the lack of a diaper, I really am glad it was omitted. I Also prefer the h4 gloves and under suit. I'm not sure if I prefer the halo 2 anniversary or halo 4 helmet but both are fantastic imho. Great vid!

Actually like the infinites armor the best aswell, I remember thinking how cool the chief was on the halo legends art cover, so seeing them take inspiration from it made me happy

My personal favorite armor was the mark 4 from Halo Wars 2. It’s in my opinion the best combo of old and new and looks hella cool.

That's what is missing in the halo's documentary the eyes part blew me away i wish they talked more about those little details

I've always been a Mk V guy over the VI, but always have loved the VI as well, escpetially Reaches prototype variant with the extra armor attachment!
