Their relationship is certainly "complicated" since they both deeply care about each other but Goldie doesn't seem ready to determine their relationship while Scrooge can't fully trust her given how many times Goldie has betrayed, antagonized or infuriate him over the years. Even if Goldie was ready to come to terms with her feelings with Scrooge, he may not believe her believing it could be just another con of hers to the duck she cares about.

I keep thinking the same thing, "why aren't these two officially together" then it hit me their love in a sense is an unattainable treasure, they've known each other for decades and yet they've never grown bored of each other it's what keeps their relationship interesting. In a sense it's they love the thrill of the chase, it's the same as when they're both hunting for riches. And they face the same issue as all couples wonder what happens after they get together... that fear that will they stay with me or will they get bored of me now that we're together. And I think that's the root of Goldie betrayals being scared of settling down and letting yourself be happy and the chance of constantly losing it, that's a real fear. That's why she self-sabotages she hurts him before he can hurt her... and that's actually in line with Scrooges actions when he's hurt as well he pushes others away. That's why the dynamic with Goldie is progressing because he has his family with him, and they want to stay with him, which has been a positive influnce heck it's even had a positive effect on Goldie with her and Louie. So that's why I am hopeful that they may finally be able to be together officially.

Given that Goldie managed to make a small connection with Louie, I think it'll give her an extra encouragement to be with Scrooge since (in a strange way) Louie (can) represent the future that they could have together if they put an end to their rivalry.

I have a theory that Goldie and Scrooge had at least one kid together, but while still an egg, Goldie put them up for adoption and never told Scrooge.

I guess Scroldie is 90-95% canon since they had a long history together and finally had their first kiss, although it's still up in the air on whether they've made an official couple status.

can you imagine if Goldie was a little less solidary , keep most of their rivalry, she's able to spend a few weeks at a time with Scrooge at the mansion and maybe slowly able to get attached to Scrooge's family. she can have a separate area to keep the treasures and money/gold that she found by herself/stole from Scrooge and the mansion is a neutral place … i think that could work for a solid romance, maybe even marriage and keep 90 something of their dynamic.
