Even in club tournament they don't forfeit a game because a player did not reset the pieces. The arbiters just give a verbal reprimand. But I guess you have the leeway for a joke.

Yes, bieng a runner-up two consecutive times in wrold championship is not child's play but it's also sad that he was too close both time.

@@DrasticSkuba Can you be on top of candidates ? Even if you're on Challengers seat and you'll be a runner-up. You still have to win the candidates. And after 2024 fide is going to remove this rule so you don't qualify for candidates of you're just a runner-up.

Denmark football euro 1992 Ding Liren Chess 2023 They were eliminated before the tournament. But Yougoslavia in 1992 and Karjakin in 2022 were not allowed to participate. So both participated and finally won 😂
