The Exam of Man with Property
İt is an appearing of Al-Malik that Human is given property.
Say, "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will (3/Âl-i Imran, 26)
According to the quran and sunnah, Allah tests people with this 3 things, and many of people fail in this 3 things. Position, Lust, Property
Allah tells the story that satan misleads Adam and Eve in this way:
Then Satan whispered to him; he said, "O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and possession that will not deteriorate?" (20/Taha, 120)
Adem was cheated because of desire for property inside of humankind and Satan misguided them and took out from the paradise.
“By Allah, it is not poverty I fear for you, rather I fear you will be given the wealth of the world, just as it was given to those before you. You will compete for it just as they competed for it and it will ruin you just as it ruined them.” (Bukhari,Muslim)
When Allah gives someone wealth, he has mercy on someone with his name AL-malik and makes him succeed. but he doesn't have mercy on someones and leaves him by himself.
Measures of whether the property is good or bad
Allah may give wealth eveyone. What we mean as wealt is money, position, property. There are 2 measures to know whether it is good thing or not that Allah wished about us. (General measure, special measure)
a) The general measure for Mulk
If a jalal name appeared in someone's life, the measure is:
In a rumor narrated by Ukbe bin Amir, prophet says:
If you see that Allah gives what they loves to humans despite their sins, it is Istidraj (taking to the disaster slowly).
Afterwards, peophet read this verse:
So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair.(6/An'am,44) (Imam Ahmad)
b) Special measures for Mulk
1.Forgetting the real owner of mulk
Satan has overcome them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah . (58/Mujadila,19)
2.Seeing Mulk as value and believing that he is value because of his mulk.
But you prefer the worldly life, while the Hereafter is better and more enduring. (87/A’la, 16-17)
And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew. (29/Ankabut, 64)
3.That the desire for property surrounds the heart of person or Allah prevents him from it.
"If Adam's son had a valley full of gold, he would like to have two valleys, for nothing fills his mouth except dust. And Allah forgives him who repents to Him."
4, That property prevents the person from his duties of servitude
O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah . And whoever does that - then those are the losers. (63/Munafiqun,9)
