During the Tudor period, there were many people who were executed in some of the most brutal ways. Lots of women were condemned for their crimes and during the reign of Elizabeth I Anne Line was executed for hiding a number of Catholic Priests. She was discovered doing this which was considered a very serious crime and was then taken to Tyburn to be executed in front of a huge crowd. She was executed on the triangular gallows known as the Tyburn Tree.
