In Daniel 9, the exiled prophet prays a prayer of repentance for Israel’s sins. Why was this necessary? What was Daniel shown in his vision that would make him feel as if he needed to pray such a prayer?

For someone who says Yahweh, and it's extremely appreciated, I've gotta say it's strange to see you also say LORD/GOD...like...it's contradictory... Appreciate the work. Love you

I’m in NY and trying to find a church that has services on Saturdays and follows the Torah. Do you know of any in NY or so running states? I’m currently going to a SDA church but they don’t celibate the feasts

Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time The secred text of the Bible says ye shall know them by their fruits So too that I say to my christian brothers and sisters be fruitful and multiply Best regards from a Muslim ( line of ismail )

In Dan 9:26-27 it says, "It's end shall come with a flood." Why are there never any comments on this part of the prophecy? If this part of the prophecy was fulfilled already as some believe, it was not a physical "water" flood, was it a flood of another sort? Or has this part of the prophecy NOT been fulfilled yet? It can not simply be glossed over because it doesn't fit a particular doctrine, it was revealed for a purpose. Anyone have a comment on that line?

Excellent point! “And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined” the semicolon continues the thought. "Semicolons are useful; they show that clauses are related in meaning." From merriam-webster. When you look up H78571- flood, the ancient Hebrew also refers to an Overflowing: [freq. 6] |kjv: flood, overflowing, outrageous| {H7858} So, the flood/overflowing is of war and it will desolate/destroy. It’s my current understanding.

That's how I first wondered over it. I study the scriptures also from a language & culture view point. Not everyone does. We have a tendency to take the English translated words at the meanings we understand in our day. But some Hebrew words translate into multiple English words with what seems like (to us) sometimes unrelated meaning. Studying the culture helps there, but still, sometimes you're still left scratching your head. At other times, the other word makes sense but can change the whole meaning or prophecy timeline. I know the different possible uses of the Hebrew word used in this case but have never heard a single soul give their thoughts on it's intended meaning. Depending on how that word is used could change the prophecy from being "possibly already" fulfilled to a "could only be" future fulfillment. Yet, no one has ever asked or discussed it openly that I am aware of.

Yehoash, Yehoram, Yehoshaphat, Yehoachaz, Yehozabad, Yehoyada, Yehoyakin, Yehoyakim, Yehoyarib, Yehonadab, Yehotsadak, Yehonathan, Yehoaddah, Yehochanan. And lest we ever forget, Yehoshua. Who is the theo in every single one of these theophoric names? They had no ban on their pronunciation and their pronunciation was preserved in the vowel points. We don't have a to be a Hebrew scholar to figure out that "Yeho" is the theo as every prefix declares. Therefore "Yeho" as over 1000 manuscripts still preserves is the prefix in the tetragrammaton. Why does anyone deny this? The only way a scribe could ban the pronunciation of the name is by dropping a vowel point. That scribe could not substitute; that would violate his oath. He could not deceive, he could not subtract and he could not add. The only thing he could do is not include a vowel marking since no vowel markings were there to begin with; he simply didn't point that vowel. Although we can find it pointed if we seek it. Amazing isn't it? He left us the actual evidence if we seek it with our whole heart!

@@kalabalakrishnan1484 yes, it is also written, Ex 23:21 Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him. Yehovah's name is in Yehoshua's name. Again we see "Yeho," the theo in the theophoric name Yehoshua. This isn't difficult and it doesn't require a degree in Hebrew.
