something funny about this weapon: the chainsaw you see when it fires is actually a projectile named "Extraordinarily Cost-Inefficient Chainsaw" in the files and the function in the code to let the projectile cut down trees is called "Absolutely Fucking Annihilate Trees"

Spine of Thanatos has longer range and auto-lock properties. Of course it deals less damage than a weapon that you have to aim and keep your mouse cursor on your targets for constantly. Ranged and magic weapons follow the same principle. If you don't have to aim a weapon, odds are that it's gonna do less damage than a weapon in the same tier that you have to aim to use properly. Also, the Photon Ripper IS a melee weapon. It deals melee damage. There are plenty of "tools" in Calamity that also function as a weapon. Grax and the Hydraulic Volt Crasher are just two examples.

how are you taking damage and still keeping your adrenaline? Is there a potion or piece of equipment or something that lets you do that?

He probably has the Exo-Mech accessory that replaces adrenaline with nanomachines that give a weaker buff but only pause for a moment when taking damage instead of depleting fully.

Well... I am not the creator, but I assume that the projectile spams are just a lengthy, repetitive and boring chore. As a player, we need to pay attention to those, but as spectators... It gets in the way of the content we came for.

Calamitas Clone bullet hell is too long and deals barely any dmg and i also cut some of the post moon lord waiting times between spawns because for some reason it sometimes takes up to 10 seconds for them to spawn.

Draedons Heart changes the adrenaline meter to nanomachines which give healing and dmg reduction instead of dmg when used.
