There are so... few shows that start strong, get stronger, hold the quality, finish strong, and then bow as gracefully as the Expanse did. I know they didn't do the whole book series, but at least they ended it fairly. The Expanse is an S Class show and I am so glad I found it.

I was so wrong about Ashford. When he came into the mix I thought he was going to be seedy, shady, and attempt a mutiny. But rather he put down an attempted mutiny by his own people, and sided with Drummer. He helped Drummer when they were pinned against a bulkhead, and ultimately gave his life to help save humanity. Not just by fighting Marco, but by transmitting enough to Earth that they figured out who the real enemy was. Ashford was the hero I totally did not see coming

Earthers get to walk outside into the light, breathe pure air, look up at a blue sky, and see something that gives them hope. And what do they do? They look past that light, past that blue sky. They see the stars, and they think, 'Mine.' This has to be my favourite line from the entire series.

This is the message humanity needs to hear, every single one of us. This is our story, and these are some of the most powerful quotes I’ve heard in my life. Do the best you can for people, that is what our society is built on. Help those who can’t help themselves, and never buy into the bullshit lie that we have to keep hurting each other and seek revenge. Peace is the only way forward.

Though I love the show for all its amazing qualities like a brilliantly written story and deep layered characters with realistic motivations and perfectly realistic physics and combat, I must say that one of my favorite things about the expanse is just how passionate the community around it is and how much everyone comes together in appreciation of this masterpiece.

This entire franchise has changed the way I look at life, but hard times come regardless. I've been dealing with alot of decisions in how I act in the face of calamity, and seeing this perfectly created video with every beautiful quote lined up with scenes that mirror each other, the timing with the music, and all the rest to the end helped me regain a bright light in myself that I was afraid was lost. My energy was gone. Now it's back. Thank you.

Hate to say it, but I think real hard times are on the way. We're just getting a dress rehearsal. Keep that mind set, and try to stay whole. That's all you can do.

@@OutlawCaliber13 I agree...I think this is what we will look back at as 'prep time' and the time we should have used to get prepared. Harder times ahead indeed But how do you prepare for something your enemy denies is coming, and uses your own institutions as weapons against you? That has all the technology the world has to offer, and the legal systems hijacked to the point we get charged for things we used to be praised for? The Expanse was such a 10/10 show 🙏❤️

@@chrisburke624 Honestly, just get yourself as ready as you can for the most likely events. At the current moment, in my opinion based upon what I see in the world, that is environment disturbances, electro-magnetic disturbances, cyber, economic, and war. I don't really believe that there's a big conspiracy, a bunch of dark shadowy figures out to get us. I do believe some people have agendas, but that's not the same as what some believe. The climate is acting up, plate tectonics are starting to act up, volcanos are acting up. The sun is at maximum, the magnetic sheet is fluctuating, our magnetosphere is at a low. Our core has changed directions, and our poles are moving. We have countries trying to take dominance, and the US is getting weaker. We're led by weak men that are making everything weaker. Not even getting into greed. Our money is inflated, markets are strained, contradictive policies, etc. We're under cyber, and EMP threat from the above countries. That alone would be devastating to us. And yes, we live in a glass house. Our enemies can see inside our house, and put info in. They use that to sew division, and weakness. I'd say you prep as best as you can for those things, and try to position yourself to soften the hit of what's coming. The problem with all the crap going on is that at some point things have to break. As well, with the US getting weaker, and our enemies getting stronger, we are the ones that NEED to act to try to hold onto dominance. If we wait, we just get weaker. The economy is inflated all to hell. That's going to hurt when it pops. Try to have food, water, tools, and skills. I don't tell everyone what I have, or what I believe. I do try to warn people by laying reality out to them, but I try to be smart about how I talk about it. In some cases, I get people to realize how bad things can go. That's the best we can hope for. And definitely agree. The Expanse was an excellent show. I look forward to more from the franchise.

I finally got around to watching this video. I avoided it for so long because I was afraid of being spoiled not having seen most of S5 and S6 yet. But today I thought "what the hell" and clicked the link. What a beautiful, moving reminder of the greatness of The Expanse. It outshines even Game of Thrones IMO. Your video has given me more reason to get back into the show after a long hiatus. Thank you for that.

This series is so incredible but, personally, i didn't _get it_ untill I watched it a 2nd and even a 3rd time... Actually 4 times so far.... It's so MUCH... So many stories, factions, characters, sub-plots... You almost HAVE to rewatch it to get it all... It's only on the 2nd time round i REALLY loved it! Just the LIGHTING in this show is ahead of anything else on television. The use of color and accent makes every scene instantly readable, nothing is muddy, nothing is too dark or too bright, it’s a masterclass in lighting and set design. Seriously ignore everything else for a second and just LOOK at some of these shots.

Just an absolutely fantastic cut - it gets so much of what I feel is the core philosophy of the show through, and covers so much of the show, that I can barely believe it all fits in just 10 minutes. “We help each other. That’s what people do, we help. That’s why we have a civilisation.”

This is wonderful... the great thing about this show is that every character, no matter how terrible their actions, has some kind of understandable motivation for doing what they do. I love the old Ceres belter's line about how it's not inners and belters, it's people who want more hate, and people who just want to live. It's so true.
