I can't express how beneficial this will be. I was recently diagnosed with lupus, and had a history of psychiatric stays for bipolar and panic disorders. Now being on lupus medications, my mental health symptoms are stable. Im the calmest Ive felt since I was 13 years old. Again thank you and I hope there is training for mental health professionals.

Thanks for posting this. I was misdiagnosed for years as depression and finally a psychiatrist wanted to run tests and got a positive Ana. I began being treated for lupus and the depression dissipated. Although there are still depressive episodes but nothing like before being treated for the correct condition.

My blood work always comes back negative But as I sit here I feel like I been hit like a Mack truck, fever off/on, crying and makes me feel I’m just going to surrender…like I give up

My wife has Lupus: When she first got Lupus 15 years ago, she still worked (Nurse) even during chemo. Then over 4 years ago Lupus attacked her brain. Causing all kinds of issues and having to start chemo all over again. Worked at one place for over 20 years but lost this job just because of Lupus attaching brain. We are told that she has a rare type of Lupus Psychosis which mimics dementia, she is only 49 now. We have tried to get her back to work but without success, gets very tired/weak/confused/out of breath/saving piles of garbage around the house/refrigerator, I clean it up but she puts it back, gets mad/Very hateful disease to be around hates me for helping her, no communication, when I mention anything there is no response. Fighting SSA for over 3 years has been a nightmare. We have had to go to court in DC in front of a judge. Lawyers think that the judge is going to deny just because they know very little about Lupus Psychosis (only 1%) and that is what happened/tells everyone she is fine including the judge, even every hard for me to tell, all I have to do is to think back on the way she was before, Lawyers want nothing of us now. Life has been a nightmare since this last attack. NIH is helping but they go right along with her when she says: I am fine. The last time I talked to a doctor at NIH they were not aware of what was going on. Thankfully, I have a job that pays the bills. Please any help?
