Either there is an infinite regress of causes or there is a first cause. In either case, its just simpler to assume that there is no middle men (who is indeed explanatorily reduntant)

@@laplacesdemon82 he never said everything has a cause. he said god is the first cause. an infinite regress is logically impossible because you cannot have an infinitely precedent set causes for you to exist and still be able to exist. classic example: if you asked me for a water bottle, and i said that i'll have to get permission from the person next to me before i give it, then that person says he needs permission from the person next to him, and this goes on ad infinitum, you would never get the bottle. the first cause is what we call god. this first cause necessarily needs to have certain characteristics for it to be able to be a first cause. one is power, or capability. this first cause has to have the ability to actually get the chain of causation moving. the second is will, or agency. this first cause has to choose to originate other things, because if it did so through compulsion, we would have to ask what compels it to do so. this would imply there is a prior agent to this creator, and therefore this creator wouldn't really be the first cause. so the first cause had the power to create the universe, and had the will to choose to create it. this is the most coherent and rational worldview when it comes to creation, as the others abound with logical fallacies. this first cause that is the creator has other characteristics, but those are more easily derived from scripture rather than pure reason. we have evidence that the quran comes from a supernatural source and therefore is a reliable authority of metaphysics and theology. i can prove that the quran cannot be the words of the humans, but that is a different discussion. you can come to the conclusion that god must exist and have certain characteristics even without the quran, bible, torah, etc

Yeah the cats in that specific location depended on the slums because the people there used to feed them. i remember seeing people on tiktok making videos telling people to pick them up from that place, but I guess they couldn't save them all. I would help some of those cats if I was in Jeddah :( I wish I can find the video again but there was a huge amount of cats there, it could pass as a city of cats. Never saw that many in one place.

@@desertsmurf One of my friend had a really bad experience which makes me quite scared. I do know it's not as bad as a lot of people say and I can see how welcoming people are from this video. I know the country is not as it was and is a lot more women friendly as before. It is not as women friendly as most country and I don't really like having restrictions while travelling. I get nervous easily, so it might not be the place for me.
