As long as they have Live and Learn with Sonic and Shadow teaming up in a superform final battle then I'll be happy.

I have 2 main expectations for this movie 1. They play live and learn 2.Eggman pisses on the moon If we have these two things 10/10 perfect movie no flaws

The movie should definetly have a scene of Maria getting gunned down. They don't need to make it bloody, but film it similar to how it was in Shadow the Hedgehog.

What I fear is edgelord Shadow. That unlikeable jerk from the '10s. What I hope to see is a melancholic Shadow, like the one from SA2, but with this trait more pronounced. Maybe showing lots of sad faces when he is not seen. . The old, calm and smart Shadow who uses his brain more than his fists rather than the impulsive, brawler guy we knew from the last decade. A Shadow we will love. Also I hope for him he'll become a good guy in the end. Like in sa2

My only expectations are just that Sonic and Shadow will have a cool fight.

I don’t really want them to make a carbon copy of SA2. I just want them to take inspiration from it while still telling a somewhat original story. SA2 is probably my favorite Sonic game, and I really hope we see Super Sonic and Super Shadow team up, if they do I will jump out of my seat!

You have an understanding of these films that not a lot of people don't seem to have and it's genuinely refreshing. These films are very much their own thing that still take inspiration from the games. Remixing the lore and characters while still having a clear love and respect for the franchise that makes them great. Expecting a shot for shot remake of Adventure 2 is something that a lot of people expect and yeah, it very well could do things differently especially to fit in with the lore and world established by these films. I've suggested in the past myself things like "Maybe Shadow stays a villain after this" or before Alya Browne was revealed as Maria, I had the suggestion that "Maybe Maria was an adult and Robotnik's mother to fit into the parenthood and family themes that the films clearly have going on." like they could do a lot of things that could make it work within their own canon. It's the big thing about an interpretation. And I also agree that it kinda being its own thing is what makes me prefer it to the likes of the Mario Movie because it's fun to see how things I know will be redone in this fresh new take. The one thing I don't agree with is that I don't think that this will be the end of the film franchise since they're really pushing the whole Sonic Cinematic Universe deal especially after Sonic 2 but yeah. Good video. Again, very refreshing to have someone who seems to understand what these movies are.

As you can read they worked on the CG movie/cutscenes on Shadow the Hedgehog Game and 06. Look it up. Also hi. Also also my expectations are going to be low but I hope to God this does just as well as the Mario movie. Cause 2026 Mario is getting a sequel.

My Expectations: - Live and Learn, or a variation or at least a jingle from it.. - Shadow (goes without saying). - GUN fight (this was leaked, so we know there is some kind of confrontation with GUN). - Robotnik is going to do a thing. - Tails and Knuckles will probably have some scenes in the movie, but to what extent is unknown. Nothing has been mentioned about their roles in the film. But they'll probably do something. - Tom and Maddie will probably do some things. - Maria will be in the movie. - Some kind of big bad at the end. Those are the things that I would be pretty much 100 percent certain we will see, regardless of any other speculation I or anyone else has have concerning the movie. Irrespective of any theories or guesses, the above things should be correct. So... My Hopes: - Full version of Live and Learn playing either when they turn Super, when Shadow removes his limiters, or during a third possible thing that has a not zero chance of happening. - Amy, Rouge, or preferably both being introduced. - The entire Adventure 2 story being fully realized, or at the very least a version of it that agrees with the setting. - Some kind of reference to Shadow the Hedgehog, such as possibly Black Doom being the big bad at the end. - A mystery concerning who killed Maria playing out with some kind of surprise twist as to who the killer turns out to be. - Robotnik getting access to the ARK laser and blowing up part of the moon (this would be the hardest part to pull off because it would cause some change going forward if they decide to do more movies, but it would be awesome). - Some kind of mid-credits scene, indicating that the movies will keep going past the third one.

Here’s all the things I want from this movie. 1. They play "Live & Learn" by Crush 40. And let it be the version from the Sonic 30th Anniversary symphony. 2. Play more Sonic related music from the games/TV shows. Especially character theme songs from the Adventure Era. 3. Let Sonic defeat Shadow during their final fight. And let him fight Eggman again as well. 4. Introduce Amy, Rouge, and The Biolizard. 5. Show Eggman destroying half of the moon.

In the post-credits, Tails and Knuckles have their time to shine as the heroes of the next new Sonic movie to come out around Christmas 2026.

My prediction for the post credit scene: Sonic and Shadow are eating hot dogs watching an Keanu Reeves movie. Sonic mentions the fact that Shadow sounds like the actor of the movie, but Shadow responds that it must be an coincidence. although, Keanu's action is cut due to Breaking News: A new Green Hedgehog started causing chaos by the city of New York. The scene zooms in to the TV for us to see Scourge the Hedgehog. Who says: "Lookout, people! Sonic the hedgehog is NOT your green hill hero anymore!" And then, BAM! The scene cuts to black, and then to the long, boring credits. Scourge will appear in sonic 4!

I disagre that none of the charachters act like their game counterparts, Sonic DOES still act cool and cocky in the movies it's just that's not all there is to him, Tails is pretty spot on with how he started a genuis but shy fox who got bulied alot and looks up to Sonic very much. Knuckles is honorable and loyal but also naive and has a temper which is how he was at first too. My point is your seeing these charachters basically start from level 1 again in a different setting. And we already know this will be the case for Shadow too which is why I'm so excited. Because by doing this it forced Sega to relearn what made their own charachters so special to begin with. All of whom were treated horribly before the movies started coming out and that's including Sonic. I don't expect this to be a 1 to 1 adaptation of Sonic Adeventure 2 however it is clear Jeff Fowler wants to adapt the spirit of it at least and get the most important beats down at least to how it relates to Shadow. Even if it's not exactly the same alot of the beats of his story are needed for this to work. To understand his intense hate for humanity, but also understand why he ultimately decides to save them too.

I'm extemely hyped for Sonic 3, and some of my hopes for it are: 1. For whatever version of Live and learn that will be used to be playing during the final battle scene, (with Sonic and Shadow both being in their super forms) NOT at any other time in that movie, and please may that banger not be the only song from the games that will be in Sonic 3! 2. For Shadow to be behaving more as the emotionally sympathetic antagonist that he was in SA2, instead of him shooting guns and swearing because that would show him as the edgeloard that so many fans are absolutely fed-up with seeing him for soo many years get mistaken as! 3. Let Jim Carrey be wearing that fat suit this time so he can look even more like Eggman instead of having him be shown with his own regular body size again. 4. Adapt in some amount of cutscenes from SA2 especially the silly Faker one and the one in which Eggman makes an announcement then blows up half of the moon. Don't leave the space colony ARK out of this movie! 5. If they do put in a cliffhanger/mid-credits scene, please may Silver be in it! He hasn't gotten much attention at all ever since Sonic 06 got released as a buggy mess, and it would be quite entertaining to see that cute character using his telepathy in a possible Sonic 4 movie. 6. Have Amy be in it, but NOT as an annoying fan-girl stalker to Sonic, and may Rouge be included too. PS, James Marsden recently revealed that filming scenes for the human characters in Sonic 3 is all wrapped up.

Thank you for this video as it seriously highlights many points I think are important to remember for this movie for fans and non fans alike. Especially with some issues like adding new sonic characters and how to insert the other human characters into the story people seem to forget that there’s going to have to be a balance kept to make sure they stay faithful to the SA2 story while creating their own take within their separate universe. I’d love a lot of things to be in the movie from SA2 like everyone else and it’d be funny to see a line adapted from the fandub (like if/when Robotnik appears on the screens worldwide they include ‘I’ve come to make an announcement,’ I’d lose my shit) but with what we know so far, like knowing live and learn will be in the movie (hopefully not just during the credits) plus bc it’s confirmed they’re taking refs from SA2 and STH in the movie and knuckles series I believe it’ll be pretty good! Honestly I’m just glad we’re getting this third movie AND the knuckles show this year and that the cast/crew is so pumped and vocal about the movies as well. :)

I understand what you're saying about overdrawn out movie franchises. For example, the MCU has been having a huge decline since COVID19. A lot of former massive fans have been turning away from Marvel.

Sonic X adapted the events of Sonic Adventure 2 into a 2 Hour Movie Length Arc so it isn't unreasonable to expect something similar. I'm actually expecting Amy to meet Sonic for the 1st Time on Prison Island although she may have seen Sonic fight Shadow before he was arrested & join his team as its 4th Member. Rouge will find most of the Chaos Emeralds & investigate Shadow.

I think it will be a mix of both adventure games, sonic and shadow vs chaos… will be awesome

I don’t expect it to be a direct copy of SA2, mostly because (like you said) the other two movies aren’t exact copies of the games and they work really well. I think most fans are mostly wanting Shadow’s characterization getting done well. They have a tendency to make him an edge lord and most fans aren’t too fond of that. 😂😂😂

I dont think they need the ARK, but keeping with gerald & marias backstory from sa2 would be necessary for shadow & eggman relationship & character development. Jim Carrey is adamant about keeping eggman evolving as a character. Also if gerald wants to deatroy the world for revenge, its eggman & shadows choice to keep to that plan or stick with Maria choice to keep it safe

5:33 I can't wait to see how much the parents are going to hate that scene that reminds me of the first TMNT movie in the 90s that was easily one of the best TMNT movies but the parents didn't like it because of how violent it was so they dumbed the sequel down and made it childish as hell and they couldn't even use their weapons.

I'm sure there won't be any pissed off parents sending angry emails to Paramount about doing the killing Maria thing in movie form because that's from parents who never played the games and I'm sure this will not be in the same situation as the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie where parents who has only seen the 1987 TMNT cartoon and didn't read the comics disliked how violent, dark and gritty the movie was and using mild language in front of their children but that's what they were doing because it was based on the comics from 1984 where there is all violence and the grim and grittiness and the Turtles killing their enemies with weapons since yes it's in the name that they are ninjas and ninjas are assassins. They weren't just adapting the movie from the animated show. The cartoon was made family-friendly for marketing reasons because toys. But TMNT did started as a comic to begin with and that's where they got it from. As for Sonic 3, parents who are going to see it, stay calm. Keep your complaints where I can see them and do go against this movie for becoming dark.

While I don't think we are going to see Maria get murdered, I still just want Shadow and his story to be treated with the respect and care it deserves. One thing the movies have done consistently is just treat these characters with the respect that they have been lacking for a long time. Look at Knuckles, they made him rediculously strong and powerful, but he isn't dumb, just naive about Earth stuff. Then, look at the writing for Knuckles in previous projects like Sonic Boom, big strong dumb guy. Shadow needs to be portrayed like how he should be, a hardened character with a heart underneath it all, a protector. But most importantly for me, I'm just hoping the movie has a bit of a more darker or mature kind of tone to it, since we are dealing with some of the darkest lore in the Sonic lore, it would be nice if the tone of the movie would reflect that. Lastly, bring in either Amy or Rouge, or maybe both. I know it would be a lot to juggle, but hey, I trust they have a good story cooking.

Amy explains her back stiry to Sonic after inviting him over...and Sonic asks about a place to hide the Emerald...and Amy helps Team Sonic hide the emerald... Orrrr...SOMETHING LIKE THAT I imagine Sonic Movie 3 to be a reimagining of a lot of Sonic lore... With about 60% SA2 10% SA1 10% Sonic Heroes... 1% Shadow 05 and 19% it's own thing

The writing is based on the classic, adventure, and dark ages rather than the colors era. It's not that the characters are "nothing like the games." It's like the movies are nothing like the 🤮 colors era, and the colors era is nothing like the characters we know and love. There are so many points wherein I was watching the movies going "That's my Sonic!" "That's my Tails!" "That's my Knuckles!"

They better not sideline Knuckles and having him fight Shadow would have been something.

1:32 not really. The custcenes for SA2 come up to a time that's shorter than the second movie. Also completely original isn't really accurate considering not only do both movies(particularly 2) heavily take from the games but tails is pretty much a one to adaptation of his game counterpart.
