Faema is the original inventor of the E61 group head, which we know and love today. Although the technology has advanced, the group head is still largely the same as the original.
So when Faemina wanted to enter the specialty market, they didn't just invent a new espresso machine, they invented a machine that does it all. You can now do your v60 pourover, slow drips, espresso and more on the new FAEMINA.

Love this machine. I am pretty sure you can do pressure profiling on this machine also.

I know it can do bloom and slow trickle preinfusion but I don't think it does full pressure profiling like their lever machines. I could be wrong though.

Yeh, definitely. I think for me personally, I rate the You a bit higher. Plus I love how the You looks and feels to work on. I really loved the UI

Its not going to completely replace your v60 but its still a good alternative for those who like a quick and decent pourover.

Very cool machine, a lot of cool design. But this is really just for the top 1% of people who would/ can afford to put this in their kitchen. Maybe this will bring some trickle down into an actual affordable home machine.

yeh, I'm sure they start like San Remo do; at the top end of things and then slowly come down to meet the market at each sector. Right now, this machine is great for micro roasters who need to showcase and test different coffees, but for a single household its going to be too much most of the time.

No I'm sure they would have other versions for different countries. It's just this one is in Australia.

This is cool - great to see Faema in this segment. But what is it with high-end machines (other than the Decent) using digital tech from 1997? If I'm paying that kind of money, give me a good, heigh-resolution touch screen with a well-considered UI/UX or at least a nice app experience to set things up in - it's really not too much to ask in 2023.

This machine will work and look well in 20 years. A decent will not.

Actually I think the Decent could still be good in 20 years as its so modular. Basically, because it has no boiler and all the parts are replaceable, I could see it lasting 20+ years will a few upgrades.

Three and a half grand for a heat exchanger that doesn't even have a PID is not what I would call good value for money. 😂

that is one terrible looking machine at a ridiculous price. i get it, they try to slap on any and all (digital) gimmicks to justify a hefty price tag, but i appreciate my extremely manual and simple mara x all the more now.
