In the early ‘80s, a con man lied his way into the driver’s seat for one of the biggest NASCAR races of the season, ran 13 laps, then disappeared forever. The claims he made to get there were bonkers, yet people just kept believing him! How could this happen?! Who was this guy? And where is he today? Join host James Pumphrey as he investigates NASCAR’s greatest unsolved mystery, the curious case of L.W. Wright!

D.B. Cooper's witness drawings don't really match L.W. Wright, and D.B. was also said to be a man in his late twenties, which means Wright would be late thirties, it's possible, but in Wright's photos I wouldn't say he was late thirties. But still a great fan theory!

I started watching this channel because of the very first few episodes of "Up To Speed" hosted by the one and only: James Pumphrey. If views are down, that sucks. All these kids want now-a-days is a build series. These episodes of Up To Speed by James and "Wheelhouse" Nolan and "Bumper 2 Bumper" by Jeremiah are my bread and butter. Don't get me wrong, I do always appreciate the "Money Pit" series by Job.

Their best Up to Speed episodes (most of them) have been about cars or the manufactures. I appreciate and enjoy the different ideas, but not everyone is excited about an Up to Speed on a story. Especially seeing this could had been posted on their Past Gas podcast YT channel.
@raynjpg
@raynjpg 2 жыл бұрын
I'm always elated when I see a new episode of Up To Speed. Up to Speed and the original B2B are the reasons I fell in love with this channel. Not having Up to Speed and Jeremiah taking B2B and making it the new Science Garage instead of showcasing specific cars made me feel less connected to the channel and the people behind the camera, so seeing a return from Up to Speed made me really stoked. I really do hope James continues to talk about cars and manufacturers, as those are obviously the point of this show, but I wouldn't be too upset with a few short stories here and there. Also, on the topic of the ads, I don't really have a problem with them. I think people are missing the fact that this is a company that has to keep profits up in order to give us this content. I enjoy all the ads (except for the ones with Jeremiah and the animated ads. My opinion on Jeremiah is, of course, just an opinion. I see that a lot of people really like him on the channel, so I wouldn't want him pulled off, and he is warming up to me a bit, I just don't care for his awkward humor and excessive delivery.) While I like some of the changes, I wish B2B was still B2B and Jeremiah had his own show and I wish Up to Speed would be the way it was before. Money Pit's a great show btw. Hope someone from Donut was reading this, hope it wasn't Jeremiah. If it was Jeremiah, no hate bro you put on a show that, seeing from the comments on your videos, it looks like most fans of the channel enjoy.

No. Just...... NO! Gordon definitely is NOT the greatest nascar driver ever. He's a whiny, spoiled, overrated, underhated, pretentious, yuppy, douchebag brat who happened to get lucky by being paired with a team that is infamous for cheating under the radar and nothing happening to them when they get caught. The dude (if you can even call him a dude) literally breaks down in tears and throws a temper tantrum if he doesn't win.The only people who could possibly be any worse of a human being than Gordon are his God awful, equally pretentious and douchey fans. The honorable distinction of Greatest NASCAR Driver of All Time belongs to none other than Dale Earnhardt Sr. and no, before you say it I'm not a Dale Jr fan either. As far as I'm concerned he betrayed his father and his father's legacy by having the audacity to sign with hendrick motorsports after he left DEI. Don't get me wrong, I understand his decision to leave DEI. I also understand his decision to not sign with his father's old team, RCR. He wanted to do his own thing and establish his own legacy while honoring his father's while not following directly in his father's footsteps. I get it. I fully supported him making those decisions. But to sign on to be teammates with the likes of Jimmie fricking Johnson and (gag) Jeff (retch) Gordon (projectile vomit) was just inexcusable and a disgrace to the Earnhardt name.

My late grandfather was friends/acquaintance with Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, and Willy Nelson. Several times as a kid I found myself at a dinner table after a show with them or a combination of them. It was surreal. Years later I went on a small security detail for Willie. The man can take a pound of weed anywhere he wanted! This was back in the 90s and early 2000s, when weed was super illegal all over. I sat in Willie's motorcoach and bullshitted while he and the cops smoked mountains of weed. Should have smoked.....probably the one guy on Earth to turn weed down from Willie Nelson. It also would have been my first time smoking weed in my life......I $#@! that up.
