I remember the fall guy as a TV show starring Lee majors. From 1981 to 1986 according to my just now look up. Stunt man was also a bounty hunter.

Bringing back Colt's original 4 headlight GMC would have been better than an advert for a retro truck plug. What we need is a Hal Needham bio pic! From his humble backwater beginnings, to initial stunt jumping out of a plane to knock a rider of a running horse, to his mentorship of junior stuntmen, couch surfing at Burt Reynolds place to Hollywood director. Hal was a true American stuntman!

Yeah, but this is not that. I'm not sure why they're calling it Fall Guy, it's not a single thing like that old show. It's just got a stunt man as a main character....and that's it. Ok, cool...so I can cast a character as a ghost hunter and that makes the show Ghostbusters? Weird. It's probably a good movie, but it's not Fall Guy, they're just using that to get Gen-Xers into it, waste their money.

I cant beleive that hollywood decided to remake an old Lee Majors serial as a big screen movie and chose this. Why not the Six Million Dollar Man? The plot of Fall Guy was basically Stunt Man as Magnum PI on the road.

I wonder if its even possible for Hollywood to go even one year without a reboot, or remake of a movie or show from the past. Not saying anything about the actors or story. Its just that when I see a title from a movie or show that I loved from the past and they "modernize" it, I roll my eyes....here we go again. West Side Story, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Robinhood.........on and on and on. Its old and I'm so checked out. I want to see new stuff. Imaginative ORIGINAL scripts with great characters, and unfortunately, the only films that are made that truly honor the cinema art form are independent films.

Why couldn't they have just made this as a standalone movie of its own and not had to invoke the name of the TV classic. They probably wouldn't have had to even change anything other than the name. The fact that he's a stuntman appears to be the only thing this has in common with the original _Fall Guy._

I don't think so... I remember the FALL GUY on T.V. in 1981-86. And also remembering "Heather Thomas" as Jody Banks on the FALL GUY would show up in a Bikini or a hot outfit on Friday evenings. You guy's blew the formula what the series was & its main characters LIKE Douglas Barr as Howie Munson or Lee Majors as the main STAR of this program with the humor to match. I love Emily Blunt, but she looks all covered up LOL. Heather Thomas was ALWAYS Hot, because in what she was wearing at the time, between tight jeans or a bikini. I sold a full length door poster of Heather Thomas & paid originally $7.00 in the 1980's & sold it a few yrs ago for $329.00. Heather Thomas & all the posters I bought in the 1980's have paid off like Bearer bonds. I won't be seeing this new abstract of the FALL GUY.
